“This is so far from over with,” Alistair vows as he sits back. “Just wait until Mother and GeeGee hear about this and let’s not forget Devyn. I wonder how she’s going to react when she finds out what you did to her favorite brother.”

Zar laughs. “She’s not going to say anything because I’m her favorite brother.”

Alistair’s eyes widen, and just as he was about to light into Zar, Zar’s cell phone begins to ring.

“What’s up, Mike?” He greets.

I lean over Alistair to listen in on their conversation.

“Santiago and his people just arrived. There’s about seven of them all together, three being old man Santiago, Eduardo, and Sabre’s little brother. The guards patted them down, removing all their firearms and knives, but I wouldn’t be surprised one of those assholes is still holding something.”

Zar looks at his watch, then says, “We’re about ten minutes away. Keep a close eye on those motherfuckers. Just because the guards think they have taken all their weapons don’t mean Santiago and his people don’t have anything up their sleeves.”

“On it and you got the stuff I overnighted to you, right?” Mike questions.

“Yes, and we’re ready,” Zar lowly chuckles.

“Then we’re good to go. Me and my men are ready if shit goes left,” Mike confirms.

Zar nods. “Good, if they want to get out of line we’ll be ready for them.”

He ends the call as we continue to ride to our destination. Even in the night hours you could tell Bermuda was a beautiful place. When this is over, I would like to bring Sabre here for a quick getaway.

Pulling up to the guard tower in front of the mansion, the driver lets the guard know who we are. He proceeds when the guard waves us through. Parking behind the other vehicles in the driveway, the driver gets out, then opens the back passenger side door. Yiannis and Sebastian get out, then we do the same. The others are out of the second SUV when I exit last. Alistair is back to his old self, which is good on our part.

Dressed in our black tailored suits, we walk with the fearlessness the Kourakos Greek Mafia Family is known for. Basil and I as Right Hand Men walk ahead of Sebastian and Yiannis with Zar, Yiorgos, and Alistair behind them and Hendrix and Frankie take up the rear.

Before we can enter the house, five men pat each of us down for weapons. When all of us are clear, two of them open the large doors, letting us enter.

Another gentleman meets us on the other side, then instructs us to follow him. As he takes us down several halls, passing servants and caretakers who kept their heads down, I can’t help but admire the exotic decor of the place. Who would’ve known this was the meeting place for some of the most notorious crime families? It reminded me of the resorts in the Caribbean, with its priceless pictures on the walls, high ceilings and fans, wicker furniture, two large in-wall fish tanks with colorful fish swimming about. The place is exquisite. The only thing that made it different from the resorts were the armed guards watching our every move.

Our nonformal tour ends when our escort brings us to another large door with two more guards vigilantly standing in front of. They nod to the man, then grab the doorknobs, pulling it open.

“The Kourakos Family has arrived,” he announces, stepping to the side.

“Sebastian, Yiannis,” an older man, I assume is Ivan Pombleski, greets as he stands from his seat at the head of a long board room table. “Good to see you, my old friends. Come, come.” He waves them in as he moves around the table.

“Good to see you too, Ivan,” Sebastian returns as he shakes Ivan’s hand when he’s close enough.

As Ivan shakes Yiannis’ hand next, I keep my eyes on Eduardo who leans over to Manuel and whispers something in his ear. Manuel slightly nods as they seem to be sizing us up. Greg is sitting next to Eduardo, trying to present himself as a Boss. What a fucking joke.

“Please, take your seats. I’m sure all parties would like to come to a swift mutual agreement about this matter, then afterwards we can have drinks,” Ivan says, walking Sebastian and Yiannis to their seats across from the Santiago’s.

Zar sits next to Yiannis, with Yiorgos sitting beside him. Alistair, Basil, Hendrix, Frankie, and I stand behind them. My hands form into fists when that pussy Greg has the nerve to smirk at me. He really doesn’t know, but once I’m able to get my hands on him, I’m going to knock that fucking smirk off his face.

“So, I’ve heard both sides of what happened and it is my duty to help with facilitating the terms of this meeting. I understand the woman caught in the middle of this is under the protection of the Kourakos Family, but the Santiago’s want to speak with her,” Ivan expresses with his eyes moving from both heads of the families. “So, what can we do to rectify this without blood being shed?”

Leaning forward, Manuel answers, “Give us the girl.”

I bite my tongue, causing blood to fill my mouth to keep me from telling him to go fuck himself. It would be a cold day in hell before we give Sabre to them.

“Now Manuel, if it was anyone other than family, then I would have no problem handing her over, but in this case she is family and I cannot do that,” Sebastian says in an even tone.

“Man, she’s not your fucking family! I’m her fucking family and you need to turn her over to me,” Greg barks, causing Manuel to cut his eyes over at Eduardo. Idiot. That little outburst will have some consequences. You never insert yourself into a conversation between two Heads, it is a total sign of disrespect.

Sebastian ignores Greg’s outburst as he continues to speak with Manuel. “The girl is no threat to you or your family. You don’t have to worry about her going to the authorities. She wants nothing to do with what happened at the condo. You have my word she will keep silent on this.”

Manuel stares at Sebastian before smiling, then letting out a low chuckle. “Sebastian, you and I have been in this business for a very long time and we both know what can happen when there are loose ends. It may not come back on you today, but eventually the time comes. She is a loose end me or my family can afford. The only way I can make sure that she keeps her silence is if you hand her over to me and as a tradeoff I will spare her life.”
