“Ah, about that,” he replies, scratching his head. “There are large numbers of them here, but I don’t think you’re going to like knowing where they’re largely populated.”

“Where?” I question.

Tech blows out a deep breath, then answers, “Oak Cliff”

“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” Alistair hisses.

“The same Oak Cliff as in where Trappa and his people are?” Mike wonders, but we all know it is.

“The one and only, but from what I dug up Trappa and his crew stay on their side and Santiago’s people keep to theirs. They’ve had some turf wars in the past, but right now, they have a truce going on, which is why they’ve been able to do business with each other,” Tech adds.

I slump back into my chair. “Well, this sheds a different light on things. What if Trappa is working with them?”

“Then his ass can be dealt with just like Santiago. There’s no secret I don’t like his ass, so I have no problem with making him cease to exist. Janae would just have to get over it,” Mike declares.

Zar holds up his hand. “Before you do that, we need to see whose side Trappa is on. Also, we have a meeting with O’Rourke at Elite about the liquor for the clubs at three. With everything that’s been going on, I completely forgot about it, and it’s too late to cancel.” Zar glances at his watch. “It’s almost noon, so I’ll call Trappa and see if he’ll come by Elite before we meet with O’Rourke. If we leave within the next half hour or so and if Trappa doesn’t have anything going on, maybe he’ll agree to meet us. If he does, then we’ll get the answers we need. For his sake, I hope he’s not trying to set us up. That would be a huge fucking mistake on his part. Any questions?” When no one replies, Zar ends our meeting. “Good, time to put on our suits.”

The ladies are sitting around on the sofas when we reenter the large room. Going over to Sabre, I hold my hand out to her. She takes it, then stands. I draw her closer to me, then engulf her into my arms.

“We’re going to change, then leave,” I whisper in her ear.

Sabre slightly leans back to look up at me. “Okay, please be careful. I’m going to check in with a few of my clients while you’re gone.”

“Sabre,” I sigh. “You’re supposed to be resting, not checking on clients.”

“I know but, this will help keep me busy while you’re out. I’ll just be doing follow-ups with them to see if they’re still enjoying their new homes. Luckily, for the two showings I had for this week, I was able to get one of my colleagues take them. I spoke with my boss yesterday and after telling her about the baby, she insisted I take as much medical leave as I needed.”

“Well, I hope you realize the next call you make to her will be to turn in your resignation. I know you love working for them, but your place is here with me. Either she can refer you to a real estate company here in Dallas or you can start your own firm. Hell, I would prefer if you did the latter, you’re too good at what you do to be working for someone else. You should be the boss of your own company and I will help you make that a reality,” I promise.

And I meant every word I said. Sabre is a brilliant realtor. Shit, she could sell a rundown shack like the one upstairs to Bill Gates with the way she presents a property and her savvy sales technique. My baby is just that good, so the days of her working for somebody else are over in my eyes. She doesn’t need to answer to anyone else but herself.

“We’ll talk more about that once things get back to normal,” she says, running her fingertips along the back of my neck.

Shrugging my shoulders, I counter with certainty, “Not really nothing much else to talk about, but anyway, let me go change. I’ll be right back.”

“Do you need some help?” Sabre asks with mischief.

My eyes dart to GeeGee when she clears her throat, giving me the evil eye along with Mother and Althaia, then back to Sabre.

“No baby, I shouldn’t be long. Stay here with the ladies. I’ll be right back,” I quickly state, hugging her, then looking back over at GeeGee who nods with a wink. She might’ve prevented anything potentially happening between me and Sabre at the moment, but our time is coming.

Letting Sabre go, I make a sharp turn, going to the room that we share not wanting the others to see the print of my dick through my jeans.Five days, five daysis on a heavy rotation in my mind with every step. I don’t give a fuck if we’re still in this high price storm cellar or back in my house, in five days I’m planting my seed so deep in my woman’s womb and no one, GeeGee, Mother, Althaia or any fucking doctor is going to stop me.

After putting on my all black Armani suit with the matching dress shirt and black dress shoes, I admire my reflection in the mirror. It amazes me at times when I stare at myself on how many similarities Father and I have, from the pre-maturing gray, green eyes, or the way we fill out a suit. I stand taller, thinking to myself,I am Xander Andino, son of Jeroen Andino and we protect the ones we love even if it means forfeiting our lives. I pray nothing crazy happens today but if it does, I will do as Father did and protect my family whether it be Zar, Sabre, or Alistair’s crazy ass and the same went with Hendrix, Frankie, Mike and his crew because I know they will do the same for me.

Once I give myself one last glance, I meet the others in the common room. After kissing and hugging our loved ones, all the men except for Yiannis, Sebastian, Tech, and Things One and Two, take to the stairs. Mike enters the code to the door for us to exit. I’m still amazed the ghastly looking structure held such a deep secret underneath.

As we navigate along the highway to Elite, Zar informs us he indeed got in touch with Trappa and he will be waiting for us by the time we make it to Elite. Mike says he already spoke with Lethal, Venom, and Blade and they will be posted up around the club just in case Trappa and his men get out of line or we have any unexpected visitors. The club isn’t open during this time of day, but you could never be too prepared. Zar calls security at the club to let them know there may be one or two unknown vehicles that will be on the property and to not engage them. Tech, who is still back at the safe house, has tapped into all of Zar security cameras and the ones with the city just in case he needs to alter them if shit takes a wrong turn. Without knowing which side Trappa is truly aligned with, we need eyes around the radius of the whole block. He didn’t decline meeting with us, so I guess we’ll get our answer soon.

Ten minutes away from the club, Zar’s phone starts to ring. He hits the accept icon, then puts it on speaker.

“What’s up, Tech?”

“Just wanted to give you a heads ups that Trapp and two of his men have arrived. They’re in a maroon colored Escalade with rims parked in the front of the club,” Tech relays.

“Any signs of other vehicles with them that might’ve parked around the club?” Zar asks, massaging his beard.

“I don’t see any, but I’m keeping a watch for any suspicious vehicles entering the area.”
