I smirk. “And I hope they do, because the welcoming committee that will be waiting on them will make their asses think twice about doing it again.”

Hailey giggles as she slides from my grasp, getting into the car. GeeGee has gotten in the passenger seat, letting Hailey drive. As she pulls off, I follow behind her, with Milah on my tail.

Hitting the Bluetooth call feature, I call Zar.

“What’s up, bro,” he greets.

“Where are you at,” I questioned.

“I took your advice and worked for half a day. I’m at home now, relaxing. Where are you at?” he laughs.

“I’m headed that way behind Hailey and GeeGee, and behind me, is Hailey and Devyn’s mother. She showed up at the school today, trying to get Devyn.”

Complete silence meets me as Zar breathes heavily into the phone. “How long?”

“We’ll be at the front gate in about ten minutes,” I reply.

“We’ll be there,” he says as I hear a click on the line.

“Big brother will be waiting on us,” Devyn says, looking over at me..

“I think he’ll be doing more than just waiting,” I reply, steering us to our gated community

Ten minutes later, we’re pulling up to the entrance gate with Hailey and GeeGee in front of us. There's already blacked out SUVs parked on the inside of the gate, and on the outside, lined along the fence. Another SUV comes from behind, blocking Milah in as we get closer. I watch through the passenger side mirror as Zar walks up to the passenger side of Milah’s car, while Xander does the same on the driver’s side with his gun raised. Zar then opens the door, dragging the guy out. I wrap my arm around Devyn, shielding her from what’s about to come next, as Zar presses the silencer of his pistol to the guy's skull, pulling the trigger. Devyn doesn’t even jump from the muffled sound. Milah screams then begs for her life, as the gate rolls open giving us access.

I follow behind Hailey as she pulls through. Once on the other side, I put the car in park, and get out. Zar walks over to Milah’s side of the car, and leans in. He says some words to her before she sharply turns her wheels, and high tails it from the gate.

Zar watches the car drive off then faces me with a grizzly expression. “Go directly to my house,” he orders.

I don’t have anything smart or slick to say back to him. At this point, this was going to be an all-out family affair.

Nodding I get back in the car and pull up next to Hailey’s. Letting Devyn’s window down, I tell her and GeeGee, “Zar wants us to meet at his house.”

“Okay” she responds.

“Go ahead.”

Hailey dips her head before proceeding on. Glancing over my shoulder, Brian and a few men are carrying the body to the back of an SUV, probably getting ready to take it to the clean-up crew. I’m sure Zar had security disable the camera’s so there wouldn’t be any video of him blowing the guys brains out. I face front and keep going when I see the SUV he’s in starting to move.

“Why the hell didn’t you have eyes on their mother,” Zar roars once we’re in his living room.

“Devyn, come with me in the kitchen to make some snacks,” GeeGee says, taking her hand while giving Zar the evil eye. She was getting Devyn out of the room before Zar really exploded.

“I didn’t think he would send her, hell when he came the last time, she wasn’t with him, remember,” I recall. “That motherfucker hasn’t shown his face since the night I shot him, and he just proved he’s a pussy for sending his wife here!”

“Which is why you should’ve had eyes on both of them. That fucker isn’t stupid, Alistair, he sent her because he probably knew we were watching his ass. She should not have been able to get that close to Devyn! What if she had taken her by force,” Zar sneers.

His words shoot through me like hot lead, at the thought of Milah taking Devyn. I’ve never killed a woman before, but Milah would be the first, without any hesitation.

Glaring at Zar, my voice drops to a deep deranged tone as I reply, “I would kill each and every one of them until I got her back. Believe me Brother, they won’t get another chance.”

We stare each other down as the doorbell rings. Nina, who’s sitting on the couch consoling Hailey, gets up to answer it. Moments later, she returns with Mike, Janae, Tech, and Lethal.

“Hailey girl, are you okay,” Janae asks, going over and hugging her.

“Yeah, just shocked she would show up at Devyn’s school,” Hailey replies.

Mike and the others shake our hands. Afterwards, Tech informs, “So after Zar called and told us what was going on, I jumped online to check Andre’s movements and couldn’t find anything. With the wife showing up, it made me think maybe his ass might be here too. I tapped into the city camera’s in the area you found him in before, and sure enough, that snake is here in Dallas. There were no purchases of airline, bus, or train tickets. They must have driven in and are probably paying for gas and other shit with straight cash, so we couldn’t trace them. Even their cell phones are showing signals from their house in Atlanta, I assume they got burners or prepaid ones.”
