Twenty minutes later we’re passing the gas station Hendrix said he and Frankie were waiting on us. He pulled in behind us as we continued on to the mall.

The driver turns in to parking lot of the half constructed mall. Two Lincoln Town cars are parked facing us. The driver stops our car two space in front of them. Hendrix parks his SUV next to us. A man gets out of the first Town car, then goes to the back passenger door, opening it. Salvatore Ganino steps out followed by two other men in his car. Four men in the other get out. They flank him on both side as he walks to the front of the cars, then stop. Where the fuck was Trent.

“Somethings not right,” I say, getting out of the car.

Grandfather, Father, and the others follow suit. Salvatore smiles when he sees Grandfather.

“It’s good to see you again, Sebastian,” Salvatore greets.

“Salvatore,” Grandfather returns. “You know why we are here.”

“I do,” Salvatore says.

I step forward. “Where is Trent?”

Salvatore clasps his hands in front of him before replying, “I sent him away. I know what will happen if I turn him over to you. He is my only grandson, I raised him after his mother and father were killed by my enemies. I can’t just let you kill him.”

“Your grandson broke our truce. He sent men to kill me and my woman and burned down her place of business. He has to pay for what he has done,” I bark.

Grandfather grips my arm. “Salvatore, you know the rules of this business. There will always be consequences for our actions. Are you prepared for those?”

Salvatore regards Grandfather before answering, “Yes”

I nod. “Fine, then I will make him come to me.”

“And how do you plan on doing that,” Salvatore questions.

I whip out my pistol and shoot him in the head. As his men go for their guns, several whizzing sounds start, and they drop to the ground next to Salvatore courtesy of Mike and his men.

“Let’s get the hell out of here,” I say, putting my gun away.

“Well done, Grandson,” Grandfather states, patting me on my back.

We walk back to the cars and get in. Salvatore thought sending Trent away was going to solve everything but this was just the beginning. Trent started this war and I am going to fucking finish it. Wherever he is, I hope he’ll be watching the evening news tonight.

Ten minutes into the ride back to my house, Alistair’s phone starts to ring. He answers it.

“Hey Tech, what’s up,” he greets. His face distorts as he listens to what Tech’s telling him on the other line.

“Where’s he at now,” he asks, pausing. “Okay, I’ll be in touch.”

“Fuck,” he yells, gripping his phone.

“What is it, Alistair,” I ask, worried. Whatever Tech told him, has Alistair turning red and breathing like a mad man.

“That was Tech. He said Hailey’s step-father is here in Dallas. I gave Tech the info Xander had found and asked him to keep an eye on the asshole for me. Somehow he got her bankcard information and found out Hailey used it to buy their bus tickets. He followed their trail to here. Now, he’s in Oak Cliff hanging out with one of the gangs over there. He’s trying to find them! I’m going to kill the son of a bitch! He will not take them from me!”

“Calm down, little brother! He’s not going to get them back. They are our family now and it’s our job to protect them. Hailey and Devyn are going to be okay, do you hear me,” I tell him, locking eyes with him. He nods. “We’re going to take care of this.”

I sit back in my seat. Well shit. Not only do we have a war on our hands, but we’re going to have to deal with a perverted drug dealer and his gang. I’m fucking ready for it. The question is whether they’re ready to deal with The Greek’s Destruction?

Chapter 17

Later That Night

“Alistair, are you sure you don’t want to stay here tonight,” Zar asked with a questioning look as we stood in front of his house.

I love Balthazar to death and would kill anybody I thought would try and do him dirty, but sometimes he takes his big brother role too seriously, like right now. I know I can be a loose cannon at times, but it’s only when it’s necessary. I like to let motherfuckers know up front to not fuck with me. If Balthazar would’ve let me take care of that shit with Trent in the beginning this whole war shit would be done with, but that was his call. He’s the Boss, but this shit with Hailey’s step-father, that’s my problem to handle.
