Nina’s eyes roll in the back of her head as her body explodes. I wasn’t done, not by a long shot. Nina needs to realize she is mine and mine alone. As she floated back from ecstasy, I continue to piston in and out of her.

“Shit, Zar,” she whines with pleasure as she begins to lift her hips to meet mine.

“That’s right baby, I’m the one fucking you, not that pussy you tried to replace me with,” I growl, assaulting her temple harder for calling his bitch ass.

Grabbing her thighs, I push her legs back as far as they would go. Nina thrashes her head from side to side as I go deeper, touching her womb.

“I’m gonna ‘come’! I’m gonna ‘come’,” she screams.

“Then ‘come’ for daddy,” I command as my balls start to tighten, my own release ready to spew.

Nina’s mouth falls open as a silent scream leaves her. Her body shakes as she ‘comes’, triggering mine when her pussy clamps around my dick, milking every drop.

“Fuck,” I roar throwing my head back as I continue to thrust in and out of her.

I look down at our connected bodies. Sweat covers both of us as we pant for air. Slowly I lower her quivering legs, then fall to the side, pulling her back in the same position we started.

“You owe me a new pair of shorts,” Nina lazily says, getting comfortable in my arms.

“I’ll buy you a million pair,” I tiredly murmur, hugging her close before sleep finally took over both of us.

The next morning, I’m awaken by noises coming from the living room. Sliding out of the bed, I creep to the bedroom door. It was still ajar, so I cautiously stick my head out and listen. Voices, men’s voices speaking Italian. Fuck, this is the shit I was hoping Trent wouldn’t try to pull. Carefully, I close the door, then go to Nina.

“Baby, baby wake up,” I whisper, shaking her.

“Huh, what? It’s too early, Zar. Let me sleep,” she says, turning over.

“Nina, get up! There are men in the house and I don’t think they are here for a social call!”

Nina sits up quickly in the bed. I place my hand over her mouth when she tries to speak. Pressing my finger against my lips, I shake my head. Her eyes are wide as she nods. Moving my hand from her mouth, I help her out of the bed. Nina goes to her dresser, pulls out a pair of jogging pants, then puts them on while I reach under her pillow for the gun. Next, I hurriedly arranged the pillows to make it look like we were under the covers.

The sound of movement outside of the door has me ushering Nina behind it, out of harm’s way. I move to the other side waiting for them to come in. Luckily, the sun was just beginning to rise and some of the darkness hadn’t cleared yet. Nina’s dark curtains were blocking out any light from outside.

As the doorknob begins to turn, I check to make sure the safety is off on the pistol. The door opens with one body tipping in followed by the next. When they are halfway in the room, they raise their guns and fire. Muffled shots from their silencers rip through the pillows. When they’re finished, I surprise them by saying, “Too bad you missed,” then let off rounds into their bodies. As they fall to the floor, I rush over to Nina, pulling her into my arms. I needed to get her out of here. I didn’t want her to see their lifeless bodies on her bedroom floor any longer than she had too.

Chapter 7

Nina

I’m sitting on the couch trembling as Zar barks orders in his cell phone. What the hell just happened? Did Trent send those men to kill us? Why me?

“I want them here right now,” Zar yells in the phone before putting it in the back pocket of his pants.

After the shooting, he brought me into the living room and sat me on the couch. He grabbed his suit jack and threw it over my shoulders, rubbing my arms as I sat there numb from the ordeal.

“Everything is going to be okay, let me call Alistair and Xander and have them bring the cleanup crew over here,” he said before digging into the pocket for his phone. While making the call, Zar slipped on his pants, then went into the kitchen to get me a bottle of water.

“Here,” he says twisting the cap off then handing it to me. “drink this.” My hands shook as I reached for the bottle. I took a small sip then sat it on the table as he spoke to whoever was on the other line.

“Nina,” Zar calls, getting my attention. My eyes go to his pissed off looking face. “Alistair and Xander are on their way with the cleanup crew. I need to pack you a bag...”

I frown. “A bag, for what?”

Zar comes to kneel before me. “Baby, I’m sorry but you can’t stay here. When Trent finds out his men failed, he will try again.”

“But this is my home, Balthazar! You can’t just expect me to leave! I have my alarm system and my gun,” I protest, not wanting to leave the one place I could actually call home in a long time.

“You see what little good your alarm system did! I’m not going to argue with you on this, tell me what you want to take with you so I can pack it!”
