“If you let the girl come up for some damn air, I can answer your question,” GeeGee teases, her eyes rolling. “You interrupted me right when I was getting ready to tell Nina about the time when you were fourteen and I caught you in laundry room with that sock.”
My eyes damn near pop out of my head. Oh, hell no. “Bye GeeGee,” I rush out, standing, then helping her up.
GeeGee shakes with laughter. “Nina you should have seen him...”
“Come on, GeeGee. I think Janae is waiting for you downstairs,” I tell her, guiding her to the door.
“Wait, what was he doing GeeGee,” Nina laughs, spurring GeeGee on.
GeeGee looks back at her. “Girl, he had his pants down...”
“We’ll see you in a little while, GeeGee,” I shout, gently pushing her out of the door, then closing it.
“I’ll finish telling you later, Nina,” GeeGee yells through the door.
Nina takes one look at the embarrassed look on my face and falls over in the bed, laughing up a storm. I charge the bed, take hold of her ankles, then drag her to the bottom of the bed.
“Oh, you think that’s funny, huh,” I ask as I tickle her.
“Hell yeah, I think it’s funny! You were a little perv!” Nina yells between laughs, as she squirms under me.
I rumble in my chest as I tickle her harder. Nina squeals, trying to get up. She is giggling so hard tears stream from her eyes. I slow my actions to a stop as I stare down at her. Nina ceases her giggles, staring into my eyes.
I lean forward and kiss the wet spot on her left cheek, then whisper, “These are the only type of tears I ever want to see fall from your pretty eyes.” I kiss her nose, then kiss her right cheek. Nina closes her eyes as she wraps her arms around my neck. I pick her up, then carry her to the head of the bed. Nina unwinds her arms as I lower her onto the bed. She scoots over when I slid in next to her, then pull her close to me. Nina lays her head on my chest.
“I just want to lay here with you for a while. We’re going to hit Trent’s club tonight and shit’s probably going to get messy. I don’t want to think about it right now. Right now, I just want to hold you in my arms.”
“You do what you need to do, Zar. Just make sure you come back to me, okay,” Nina whispers, clutching my shirt.
My arms tighten around her as I proclaim, “I will kill anyone in my path who tries to stop me from getting back to you.” Nina sighs, still gripping my shirt. We lay in silence, holding onto one another until we doze off.
GeeGee woke us up later around six for dinner. I couldn’t believe we slept that long. I guess we both needed the rest.
After cleaning up, we went downstairs to the dining room to find GeeGee, Janae, Alistair, and Xander sitting at the table eating meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls.
“What are you two doing here? I thought I told you to be here at ten,” I question, pulling Nina chair out. “And GeeGee, why are they eating before me?” Once Nina is sitting, I pull my chair out at the head of the table then sit.
Alistair opens his mouth first. “Did you really think we were going to miss dinner? You said to be back at ten, nothing about no coming back for dinner. We thought the two of you would be a little longer, so that’s why GeeGee let us go ahead and start eating. Plus, we brought our gear and put it in the garage.” He smirks, putting a piece of meatloaf in his mouth.
I look over at GeeGee. “Yes, I told them to eat and I don’t want to hear anything about it. There will not be any arguing at this table tonight, do you hear me?” She eyes me, then Alistair, then Xander. The three of us nod at her like little boys. “Good, now let’s eat.”
Over the course of dinner, everyone enjoyed what GeeGee and Janae made. We entertained GeeGee with crazy stories about when Nina and Janae used to work at my club. I choked on a piece of meatloaf when GeeGee told Nina she wanted her to teach her some of sexy dance moves. Nina burst out into laughter as she patted me on the back. It was nice sitting with my family. The only people that was missing were Mike, Hendrix, and Frankie.
When we were finished, Nina and Janae helped GeeGee clear the table. GeeGee put the leftovers up, while Nina and Janae washed the dishes.
Soon it was time for us to start getting ready. Mike called just as the ladies were finishing up. He was able to break into Trent’s security feed and can shut it down when we are ready. He will also be able to get screen shots of anyone in the rooms. I told him to be on standby.
Alistair called Hendrix and Frankie. They were already at Elite with our men. Yeah, it was time to roll out.
“Nina baby, let me talk to you really quick,” I request, standing. “I’ll meet you guys in the garage,” I say to Alistair and Xander. They nod, standing, then go over to GeeGee and give her a hug and a kiss goodbye. They then do the same with Nina and Janae before going out the back door.
Nina hangs the towel she was holding on the towel rack, then comes to me. I grasp her hand, and we walk to the door.
“We’re going to get ready to head out. I’ll call and let you know when we’re on our way back. I’m not going to tell you not to worry, because I know you will,” I say, playing with her natural hair.
“Of course, I’m going to worry but I know you got this. You just make sure you keep your head down and stay safe,” Nina responds, then stands on her tiptoes and pecks my lips. “Hurry up and bring your ass home. I won’t be able to sleep until I know you’re okay.”
I kiss her one last time before expressing, “I’ll be back as soon as I can. I love you, Nina.”
