All the things that make Cole,Cole.
“I love you.”
The words rushed out all at once, unable to stay on my tongue for a second longer. I thought I’d feel nervous, even embarrassed, but instead, all I felt was relief. Cole deserved to know how much I cared about him.
He paused, staring at me in the darkness. Just as I started to panic, a wide, blinding smile broke out across his face. “Thank fuck.” He grabbed my chin, kissing me with as much passion as he could muster. “Because I’m hopelessly in love with you, Alex Green. I want to spend the rest of my life showing you what you deserve.”
Without another word, I crawled onto his lap, placing his hands on my hips. He gave me an unsure look, like he didn’t know if he should touch me, so instead, I leaned down, kissing him with enough fervor that there was no way he didn’t understand my intentions.
“Show me,” I whispered against his lips.
That was all the encouragement he needed. Cole’s hands gripped my ass as his tongue tangled with mine. Before we could get carried away, he pulled away, framing my face with his hands. “We shouldn’t do this.”
“Why?” I asked, leaning forward to steal another kiss. “Do you not want to?”
He arched a brow, thrusting his hips so his rock-hard cock slid against my core.Goddamn.
“That’s the last time you question if I want you,” Cole said. “I’m going out of my fucking mind right now, but you’ve had the night from hell, and I’m not about to let you do something you’ll regret.”
I smiled softly back at him, using my finger to brush back a few errant hairs on his forehead. “This has nothing to do with what happened tonight. This is about us. I want to be with you, Cole. I need to be with you.”
“You mean that?”
“You’re not the only one who has been losing their mind,” I laughed, taking his hand in mine. Our gazes locked together, I lead him toward my leggings, bringing his fingers to my slick center. “This is how much I want you.”
One quick brush at my clit, and I was in the air, thrown over Cole’s shoulder as he burst toward the door. I let out a short giggle, clasping my hand over my mouth before asking, “Where are we going?”
“To my room,” Cole answered. “I’ve had a while to think about everything I want to do to you, and I don’t want to wake everyone up with you screaming my name.”
“That sounds like a challenge.”
“No, sweetheart,” he said, swatting my ass as he opened my bedroom door. “It’s a fucking promise.”
THIRTY-EIGHT
We barely waited until the elevator doors closed before kissing again. Maybe it was the months of built-up tension, but all I wanted was to rip his clothes off here and now. Even being practically on top of Cole, there was too much room between us.
When the doors opened, Cole took my hand, yanking me toward his room. His lack of patience was a fucking turn-on; I couldn’t remember ever feeling this needed, this wanted.
Then again, I’d never felt anything like what I felt for Cole.
When he opened the door, I took in the room, admiring the quiet coziness of the space. It was different from the suite upstairs; it felt much more intimate, like there was barely enough air in the room for the two of us.
Turning back to look over my shoulder, I expected to see Cole stalking toward me. Instead, he leaned against the doorframe, watching me.
“Why are you over there?” I arched my brow.
He smiled, rubbing his hand over his mouth. “Admiring the view. Deciding which way I want you first.”
My body trembled at the thought; this side of him was everythingI wanted, shaking me of all my insecurities. He took a couple of steps toward me, kissing me lightly on the lips before dropping down to the couch.
His hands gripped my arms, staring at me with an intensity that made my knees quake. “Strip.”
“What?”
He leaned forward, propping his elbows on his knees. “Take your clothes off. Slowly.”
I rolled my eyes. “Then you should get over here and show me how.”
