“I’ll make you have fun with it, don’t worry.”

I rolled my eyes, then couldn’t help a grin. “I’ll change your mind sooner or later. You just wait and see,” I told him, shrugging and starting to slide the door closed again after taking a quick look at his cock.

“Very optimistic,” he muttered.

Once the door was closed, I hear him chuckle again, and in that exact moment I knew that he was already starting to give in.

I had this idea of getting a dog a while ago, and at first Ezra seemed to have been intrigued by the idea of me having something that would motivate me to go outside daily.

Like I said before, I was lazy, and now that there was no island close by, and no friends I could hang out with in college, I didn’t have anything else to do other than study, sleep, and watch crime documentaries until he got back from work.

He’d change his mind for sure.

And if he wouldn’t, then I’d have to work harder on my persuasion skills.

Ezra

A dog.

Why couldn’t it be a damn fish or something that wouldn’t destroy the whole apartment?

Deep down I knew I couldn’t say no to her, but I wasn’t ready to take care of an animal.

Not yet.

But it broke my heart every time I had to tell her to forget about it.

I knew a dog was a lot of work.

Olivia had one when we dated back in the day, and although it was one of those small dogs who resembled cats, it needed a lot of time and care.

Not that I thought Juno wouldn’t take good care of a dog…it was more me being unsure of having one in here.

I got out of the shower with one last look at the dog shampoo, and with a shake of my head I walked out into the bedroom with a towel around my hips.

“When does the concert start?” Juno asked, looking up from her phone in her hands.

“Seven. Did you wanna eat before or after? I haven’t had anything since lunch,” I told her, grabbing clothes out of the drawers.

“We can grab a Subway sandwich or a burger on the way there,” she suggested.

It wasn’t easy living with a girl who loved to eat fast food every day when you tried to stay in shape yourself.

“Wanna make me get up early on the weekends too?” I asked, smirking.

“No, why?”

“If you keep dragging me to those fast food places, I need to head to the gym more often. Not everyone can eat whatever they like and not gain weight like you.”

She grinned and shrugged. “Then you can have your salad here and I’ll get a burger on the way there. That simple.”

I pinched her toes and made her jump, then shook my head and got rid of the towel. “Don’t push it,” I warned jokingly.

I could feel her eyes on me as I got dressed, and just like she teased me all the time, I was teasing her now too.

Our relationship had always been fun and easy, though we couldn’t show it as much as we wanted in the beginning.

But whenever we were alone on the island, or in my old apartment, the way we were together showed that we got along well.
