“No, but I bought some McDonald’s on the way here,” she explained, pointing her thumb to her backpack.
“Didn’t you have that for lunch already?” I closed the door after she took off her shoes and walked into my apartment.
“I did. But I need more. Did you know that a Caesar Salad has more calories than a double Big Mac?”
I puckered my lips and nodded. “Yeah, but that doesn’t mean eating McDonald’s two times a day is okay,” I pointed out.
Juno lifted her finger, telling me to not say any more. “I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life right now.”
One thing I loved about her was her humor. I’d even go as far and say that it was her best trait. But then, she had so many other things about her I loved.
“Eat your food before it gets cold,” I told her. She quickly took off her coat and then made herself comfortable on the couch. “Need something to drink?”
“Uh, some water would be great,” she replied, and I raised a brow at her. “To your fast food?”
“Hey!” she exclaimed. “Would you just please let me enjoy my dinner?”
I laughed, then held up my arms to defend myself. I was glad our first little fight didn’t turn into something big. I liked us having fun and joking with each other.
“Where do your parents think you are?”
“At Pixie’s.”
I checked in on that every time she was here. It was still a little risky to make her lie to her parents like that, because if someday Pixie surprised her mothers while she was here, it would be a disaster.
For now, all was good. If we didn’t think about it too much, no one would find out about us. And if Juno kept her pussy covered in my classroom, we weren’t going to have any more fights like today.
Chapter Twenty-Six
Juno
I was wrapped in his arms on the couch while our favorite series was on the tv. This became our ritual whenever I went to his place. We watched tv, had dinner together, fucked, fell asleep, woke up to fuck again, fell back asleep.
Being with Ezra felt right, despite our age difference. We talked a lot, and never had an argument. Well, except that little one about me not wearing panties at school today. But other than that, it seemed as if we’d found each other.
He took me places where no one would see us, and we’d spend time together, walking hand in hand, with no one to judge us. We often drove up a small mountain where we watched the stars. Often, there was no need to talk. We understood each other without talking, and most times, silence spoke louder than words.
We were in our own little bubble, and I never wanted to leave it.
Ezra’s hand brushed through my hair, and I listened to his heartbeat with my ear against his chest. My eyes were closed, and I enjoyed every second of him caressing me, silently letting me know that he was going nowhere.
“Are you tired, sweetheart?” he asked, kissing the top of my head.
“No.” I looked up at him and smiled. “Are you?”
He shrugged, brushing a strand of my hair back and tucking it behind my ear. “I’ve had a rough day, you know? There’s this girl in my class that kept flashing her private part at me while I tried to be professional. That was quite exhausting.”
I rolled my eyes and chuckled. “Don’t tell me you didn’t like it. Sure, it was bad timing and the wrong place…but you did enjoy it.”
He chuckled and shook his head. “That could’ve been the end of us.”
“Why? I’d be the one getting caught showing you my pussy.”
“You really think I would just let you take all the blame? In the end, I was the reason why you did it. Because you love me. And because I love you.”
I studied his face and cupped his cheek with one hand. “You would give up on your job just to not make me be the bad guy in a situation?”
“Yes.” His answer came quick. A bright smile spread on my face, and I wondered how I got so lucky. “We’re in this together, Juno. I’m not gonna be selfish. Not when it comes to you.”
