I smiled at her. We both knew it wasn’t as easy as that, but I loved talking to her about her ideas, especially when they included me. “Where would you wanna go?” I asked.

“I don’t know. Europe. I’ve always wanted to go there. A road trip would be fun, passing through all the beautiful cities over there,” she said with a shrug.

“Sounds good to me. But…we might have to wait until you’re eighteen.”

I moved my hands down to cup her bottom, pushing her tighter against my body. “Can you do that? Wait for me until you’re eighteen so we can finally show the whole damn world how strong our love is?”

Her smile grew, and she leaned in to kiss my lips softly. “I’ll do anything for you, Ez. You know that.” Her words never failed to make me feel good.

“Same goes for you.” I looked back into her eyes, then brushed the tip of my nose against hers. “I’ve had the best time of my life the past few months because of you. Even if there were some bumps along the way, you always managed to make me smile and love you more each day. I got lucky with you.”

Her smile grew, and as her hands cupped my face, I leaned in to kiss her. Her idea of having sex on the beach wasn’t as bad as it sounded at first. There was no one around, and what better place to show her how much I loved her, hidden away from everyone else.
