“When are you going to bring him around?” Dad asked. “I want to meet him.”
Oh boy, Dad … you already have.
I pushed Hector’s hand off me and stood up. “We’re just casual right now.”
Hector tightened his jaw, his gaze snapping to me and darkening. I walked to the door, knowing that he could do nothing but simmer in his jealousy and possessiveness, and pulled it open, a smirk drawn across my lips.
I was sure that I’d be seeing him later.
CHAPTERFORTY-FIVE
HEATHER
“By the end of tonight, you’re going to wish you had kept your mouth shut.”
Hector sat in the driver’s seat next to me, his hand gripping the steering wheel and his teeth gritted. He hadn’t said a word to me since he had picked me up from my apartment, and now … he was threatening me with a good time.
“I doubt it,” I hummed.
After clicking his tongue, he pulled into his reserved parking spot in the parking garage underneath Radiant. The bright overhead light illuminated his white knuckles, and I couldn’t stop myself from giggling. All this just because I’d said he was a casual fling.
Which webothknew wasn’t true.
“Are you seriously angry over this afternoon?” I asked, rolling my eyes for added effect.
Once he shut off the car, he blew out a long breath and turned his head toward me, his fury disappeared and replaced with … contentment. I furrowed my brows, hating that he was suddenly okay now. I mean, wasn’t he just pissed?!
“No.” He smiled. “I’m not.”
I flared my nostrils because this wasnothow it was supposed to work. “But?—”
He exited the car. “Come with me.”
“No.” I crossed my arms and stared at him through my window. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing’s wrong, Heather. Follow me.”
Because he wasn’t giving me the reaction that I so desperately wanted, I narrowed my eyes and refused to move from my spot. I wanted him angry, possessive, and jealous over my words this morning. So much so that he drilled that punishment into me nice and hard.
“I’m not coming.”
A moment passed, and Hector nodded. “Fine.”
When he turned away and began walking to the entrance of Radiant, I leaped out of the car and ran after him. “Fine?! That’s all you have to say! I literally told my dad that we were just casual and that you were just some boy, and you?—”
Before we could make it to the entrance, he had me pressed up against the building, his hard cock on my stomach and his breath on my ear. “We both know that you’re just trying to be a brat. So, drop the little act before I make you cry tonight.”
Warmth gathered between my thighs. “You won’t.”
“Mmm,” he murmured, moving his lips closer to mine. His warm breath fanned my lips, and he was millimeters away from crashing his lips onto mine and kissing me with everything he had. “Is that so?”
“Yep.”
His lips curled into a devilish smirk, and he took my hand and led me into the club. My breath hitched, a shiver of anticipation rushing through my body. His grip on me was tight; his annoyance at my disobedience was back.
“I don’t think you’re going to have any harsh punishment for me,” I hummed. “It’s going to be the same old, same old with you tying me up and trying to make me beg for you. And I always just give in because I feel so, so bad for you.”
As soon as we stepped foot into Radiant, Hector released my hand. Instead of heading straight up to his private glass room, he walked to the bar area, where people could chat and watch others get themselves off.
