Acaros arched a brow at her. “Last time, I found you in a Lust Room with her.”
“Afteryoulet her through the portal,” Dani argued. “Plus, I was showing her the palace.”
After gritting his teeth, Acaros seized my hips and pulled me closer. “Your ass had better be here when I get back or else I will come find you,” he murmured against my lips. “And you won’t like the consequences.”
Once I noddedlike a good girl—as if I would actually follow all his orders—Acaros grabbed the back of Qina’s neck and shoved her through the portal. Before stepping in after her, he peered back at me one last time.
When he completely disappeared, Dani tugged me toward the portal still swirling in the room that some demons used to leave this world so they could go back to their own. “We’re not staying here. There’s someplace better in Lust. Wanna go?”
“Better than here?”
“Way better,” Mikayla said, shuffling off her seat. “Bazzon brought me there last night.”
I arched a brow. “You’ve been to Hell?”
“To Lust,” Mikayla corrected.
My gaze drifted to Jada, who was entranced by Professor Laufer, giggling and drinking Passion Delight like I had never seen before. Her hands were all over him, and his were on her body, between her legs, and?—
Oh God.
Mikayla waved at them dismissively. “She’ll be fine.”
“I can see that,” I hummed. “She’s doing better than fine.”
“So,” Dani said, standing by the portal, “what do you say?”
“Will it make Acaros angry?” I asked.
“Probably.” Dani giggled and looked over at her husband, or boyfriend … I didn’t know what to call the man who always seemed to hang around her. He didn’t talk much to anyone else. She pulled me closer. “But angry incubi always fuck harder.”
From what I had experienced so far, she wasn’t wrong. Every time that I pissed Acaros off, he fucked me until I could barely walk, promising that he would breed me over and over and over again. And I couldn’t get enough.
So, I took Dani’s hand and stepped into the portal.
CHAPTER
TWENTY-EIGHT
ACAROS
“State your business,”an icy-eyed demon guard said when I stepped out of the portal. He crossed his pale arms over his chest, his horns small and constructed of blue ice.
Through the window in the portal room, I watched snow drift from the sky outside.
Fucking hell, I hate the cold.
“I’m here to bring a prisoner to The Chains.”
“I’m not a prisoner!” Qina screamed. “Let me go!”
She yanked her arms, tried biting and hitting me, even kicked me, but I didn’t release my grip on her. Nobody enjoyed the Chains, and even I hated going there. But I was finished with this shit. She wasn’t going to bother us again.
After a couple of moments, the guards stepped to the side and allowed us to pass through the door. As soon as I stepped outside, I winced at the chilling cold. The Kingdom of Pride wasn’t hot, like everyone thought Hell to be.
It was ice.
Icicles dangled from white pine trees. Layers of snow lay atop a stone fence that stretched on for ten thousand miles. Two blue suns floated above the Pride ice castle, surrounded by glacier-like mountains on three sides.
