I continued to pull her toward the exit.

She pressed her heels into the ground. “Where are you taking me?”

To my place?!

Out of all the places I can take her, I decide to bring her home?! What will I do with her?

I didn’t know.

I had never brought a woman back to my place before, not in Hell and definitely not here on Earth either. But if I didn’t get her out of here quickly, then I was going to lose it with my buddies chuckling at how whipped I was for a human—which I wasn’t—and with how many other demons flirting with her tonight.

“Why do you think I’d go anywhere with you?” she exclaimed.

After twirling around to face her, I pushed the door open and snatched her jaw in my hand. “Because if you don’t leave with me right here, right now, then I’m going to fuck you in front of every demon here. Claim you as my own. And I won’t use my magic to hide you this time. Everyone will see how much you’re mine.”

Perchedon the top floor of one of the tallest buildings in the city, Acaros’s home wasnothinglike mine with floor-to-ceiling windows, an apartment more luxurious than anything I had seen, and a goddamn pool on his private rooftop.

“This is your home?” I asked, staring at the high-rise in awe.

“Here.”

“What do you mean, here?”

“On Earth, this is my home.”

“Where else would you …”

He released my hand. “I usually spend my nights in Hell, not on Earth.”

My eyes widened slightly.Oh.

After scavenging through his refrigerator, he pulled out a black cardboard box and handed it to me, along with a beer bottle that hadPassion Delightwritten across the label in pink letters. “Sit on the couch and eat.”

I peered into the box to see those Fervor Crisps from yesterday—or was it this morning?! My days were getting somixed up with this man—sitting in the container, white powder on the flaky dough.

“You want me to eat these?” I asked, sitting on the couch.

He sat beside me. “I assumed you were hungry. Your stomach was growlin?—”
