“Maybe?” I squeaked. “My friends and I—mostly my friends—summoned a demon last night, and it wasn’t him. He swooped into my classroom and basically fucked me in front of everyone without them knowing, and now, I’m here.”

She burst out into laughter. “Sounds like you had quite the day. I’m jealous.”

My lips curled into a small smile, and I found myself laughing along with her. I didn’t know her true intentions, nor why she’d invited me to dinner and not sent me off through the portal back home. But something about her felt safe.

“Dani!” a woman called to our right. “Over here!”

“Come,” Dani said, grabbing my hand and leading me toward a garden, where a woman who looked similar to Jada stood with a picnic basket. “I’ve asked one of my maids to set up a dinner for us in the Garden of Passion.”

But if Dani had asked for her maid to set out a dinner for us, then she must’ve known that I would be here. Yet my trip to Hell hadn’t been planned at all, more of a spur-of-the-moment kind of decision. So, how had she known that I’d show up in Hell?

CHAPTER

TWENTY-THREE

IZA

“So, how’d you like it?”Dani asked with a grin.

Through wide eyes, I stared at the foyer to her castle that we had just toured. I couldn’t even count how many rooms there were on each floor, nor could I remember how many floors there were. Everything was more exquisite thananythingI had seen on Earth.

“There’s still more,” Dani said, looping my arm around hers and tugging me along.

“More?!” I exclaimed. “How can there be any more?”

“I’ve been gatekeeping my favorite part.” She giggled. “The Lust Rooms.”

My eyes widened. “The Lust Rooms? What are those?”

“Where demons fulfill their every desire.” She pulled me down a set of steps and toward a large hallway filled with ten-foot-tall doors that were wider than my arm span. “I’m surprised that Acaros hasn’t brought you to them yet. They have some at The Lounge.”

Chest tightening, I sucked on my inner cheek. Was that why he hung out there? Did he bring other girls into Lust Rooms? Maybe that woman who was at his place the other morning … I thought she had been at The Lounge the other night too.

“Follow me into the first?—”

“Iza!” someone shouted from behind me.

I twirled around to see Acaros storming our way in his demon form, his brows furrowed together and a pissed-off glare branded onto his face.

When he finally made it to me, he grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him. “What are you doing with her?”

“I’m just showing her around the Lust Rooms,” Dani said.

“Why?” he gritted through clenched teeth, his grip tightening. “She’s mine.”

Light danced in Dani’s eyes. “Then, why haven’t you brought her to a Lust Room?”

Acaros dug his claws into my waist. “Stay away from her.”

“Is that any way to talk to your queen?” Dani hummed.

“If she’s trying to steal your girl, yes.”

His girl …

There it was again. He had said it to Clayton earlier after I came all over his desk, telling him to savor every last bit of me because that was the only taste that Clayton would ever get fromhis girl. And now … he was telling Dani almost the same thing.

“I’m not trying to steal your girl,” Dani said. “I’m just showing her what she’s missing becauseyouhaven’t brought her here for me to officially meet her andyoulet her stumble through the portal by herself. Do you know how terrifying that is for a human?”
