Page 31 of Denial

“You’re not only gonna tell us every fuckin’ thing we wanna know, but you’re gonna break completely. We’ll have you wishin’ for death and it won’t be granted as easily as you want it to happen. See, my Baby Girl promised that we’d torture you until your body gave out. I’m not one to let my daughter down for any reason if I can help it. So, we’re gonna get all the answers we want from you before we continue with the torture. Personally, I’ve been doin’ this shit a long time. Years I’ve perfected my craft. But, I’m not too old to learn new things and I’ve seen what a few of the younger guys standin’ before you can do. We’re all sadistic fucks who don’t take kindly to our family members bein’ fucked with. Fox, this asshole got any family or has he run them all off?” Killer asks his brother-in-law who steps forward with the hitman’s wallet in his hand.

I watch as the asshole in front of us pales much like Hope did when she saw him on the side of the road.

“He’s got a family. Got a beautiful wife, a young son, and it looks like his wife just delivered a healthy little girl,” Fox says, holding out the wallet where two pictures are sitting side-by-side.

“Leave them alone. They don’t have anything to do with this shit,” the hitman yells out, his words echoing off the walls in the cell.

“My daughter didn’t have anythin’ to do with this shit either and you still took the job. You wanna know what she did? She walked away from a stupid fuck who tried to drug her in the early day with a ton of people around her. If it weren’t for her cousin watchin’ it happen, he would have assaulted my girl and ruined her life. That’s what she fuckin’ did,” Killer roars out, the rage and hurt he’s been feeling over this entire situation bleeding out for the first time.

“That’s not what we were told. I’ve worked with Becker for years and he told us that this girl was gonna rat us all out for the drugs. He couldn’t let her walk free because she’d have us all arrested,” the bitch in front of us says, guilt filling his eyes even though none of us give a fuck how he feels.

“Becker fuckin’ lied to you. My girl is innocent in this shit. The only thing she did was not be one of his victims. How many girls has he done this to? Have you ever stopped to wonder what the fuck he’s been doin’ to these girls? Or do you just not give a fuck?” I question him, my voice coming out hard and cold as I glare down at the fuck in front of me. “What if he tried this shit on your wife or daughter?”

“He’d never get close enough to fucking touch them!” he yells out in anger finally thinking about someone he loves and cares about being in Hope’s shoes.

“You say and think that now, but he’s gonna do whatever he can to control your ass. Yeah, he knows that you’re a hitman I’m guessin’. That doesn’t mean shit when it comes down to it. No one is safe from these kinds of assholes. Think about that shit,” I growl out, stepping forward and letting my fist fly as I hit him in the face so hard his head snaps back and a sickening crunch fills the cell.

Killer’s hand on my shoulder stops me from hitting him again. I want to fucking unleash on him and not stop, but I can’t. We have to ask him more questions and find out everything we can about Becker, who he’s working with, and everything else we can. It’s the only way we’ll be able to keep Hope and so many others safe. Becker needs to be stopped one way or another and we’re gonna be the ones to do it. I don’t give a fuck how long it takes or how many lives in his circle we have to end because at the end of the day, that’s the only way we’re going to truly stop Becker and those working with him. These men don’t fucking stop and will never stay in one place once they feel threatened. It’s something we’ve seen so many times over the years and I’m not going to risk it.

“I want to know who all works with Becker. Every fuckin’ shady fuck he deals with and whoever is distributin’ the drugs for him around Pine View. Then I want to know who else took this hit he put out on my daughter. I know it’s more than just you. That’s how Becker, and those like him, work. They’ll put out a ton of money until the job is done. You didn’t succeed and if Becker finds out somehow, he’s gonna put another hit out on Hope. So, fuckin’ tell us everythin’ you know. If you don’t, I’ll send the guys who aren’t down here to your house to pay your wife and kids a visit,” Killer promises this stupid fuck and I watch as he pales even more than before.

It works though. The bitch spills his guts. I have to admit, it didn’t take more than a few seconds to get him to break. I’m kind of disappointed. But, I can’t say that I’d be any different if Hope were threatened. The asshole in front of us might not give a fuck about who he kills, but he does love his family and will protect them no matter what that looks like. Ratting on Becker and everyone else involved is only one thing he’s willing to do to protect his family.

We’ve been in the basement for hours. The pussy just finished spilling his guts about everything he knows about Becker and how this operation works. He’s given us names of suppliers, dealers, and everything he can possibly think of that he’s seen and been told over the years. Fox takes notes on everything and stops a few times to check to make sure names are correct and he’s not feeding us bullshit. The last thing we’re told is about a few warehouses that Becker uses to hold everything. Not just the drugs, but guns, money, and even the victims he’s kidnapped. Now, they’ve expanded into theft and all the shit they steal from cars and homes is being kept in those warehouses. Again, Fox checks the addresses we’re given before letting the asshole continue.

“The last thing I wanna know is who was behind the fuckin’ fire here at the clubhouse?” my dad steps up and questions the bitch in front of us as we hear booted stomps racing down the steps of the basement.

“What fire? I got a lead that some of you were traveling back into town and had a feeling I needed to check it out. Something told me that I didn’t complete my job. Before I left, I didn’t hear anything about a fire being started here,” he says and I see the truth of his words as he looks directly at my dad as Slim bursts into the cell.

“We’ve got a problem,” he states, his voice laced with anger as he looks around the room. “Hope was cleanin’ your room and found bugs and cameras. She grabbed the ones she found and put them in an empty pill bottle. I’m not sure if there’s more in your room or anywhere else in the clubhouse. Do you fuckin’ know anythin’ about this?” Slim asks the fucker in front of us while stepping up next to his son.

“No. I’ve told you all I know. If I knew about any bugs or cameras in here, I would’ve said something. I’m not sure if this is something that even came from Becker. See, there’s two things you have to know about him. First, this operation isn’t his. He works for someone and no one knows who it is. He never mentions a name or anything. I honestly don’t even know if he knows who he’s working for. Secondly, we’re only told what he feels we need to know. I’m a hitman and so I know everything about that aspect. There are those who only deal with dealing the drugs so they only get told things pertaining to that. We’re all kept separate on purpose. Now, the only reason I know so much is because I’ve made friends with some of the other people working for him,” the stupid fuck informs us as we all look at one another. Honestly, it’s a smart move and one I know didn’t come from Becker.

“If I find out you’re lyin’, we’ll make you suffer even more,” Slim promises him before leaving the room with Fox, Vault, and Devil following him.

“Sit here and think about what else you might know about the fuckin’ organization,” Killer says as the rest of us leave the room and slide our shirts and cuts back on since we didn’t touch the asshole more than the one punch I managed to get in.

Going up to the common room, we find Vault clearing out everyone who’s not a Prospect or member of either chapter. The Phantom girls are pissed off and stomp from the room because they want to hear what’s going on. That’s not how we do things here. Annabell takes the ol’ ladies up to her house with the kids so we can talk freely. Bronx and Deegan move to stand at the end of the hallway where the girls just disappeared to go to their rooms. They’ll make sure none of them hear what’s being said in the common room.

The only reason we’re in here is because we won’t all fit in church. There’s way too many of us and people would be stepping all over one another. Slim has done it before when we’ve had multiple clubs in Benton Falls and it always worked because we did what was asked of us and disappeared so the grown-ups could talk freely. Today is no different here at our clubhouse.

“So, if you haven’t heard yet, Hope found cameras and bugs in Jinx’ room. She got the ones she found and put them in a bottle. Valor has them and I want King to run the IP on them. Find out if they’re registered to anyone. I want any information you find on them immediately. Don’t give a fuck what I’m doin’, you come find me. The rest of you, I want you to spread out and search this entire place from top to bottom lookin’ for bugs and cameras. No room is off limits,” Vault orders us all as he stands next to Slim in front of all of us. “Deegan, Bronx, and Ghost, I want you to get the Phantom girls out of the clubhouse. None of them are to remain behind for any reason. Don’t accept any excuses or other bullshit from them. They’ve got five minutes to get out of here or they can leave and not come back ever again.”

We all take off to do what we’ve been tasked with. I go up to the second floor with Devil and Raptor followin’ me. Each one of us has keys to everyone else’s room in case there’s ever an emergency. The three of us work together as we go from one room to the next and search every inch as we find multiple bugs and cameras in everyone’s space. There’s even two in my room that Hope missed. I’m not gonna say anything about it to her though because if it weren’t for her, none of us would have any clue to be looking for this shit to begin with.

I remain with Raptor and my brother the entire time we’re searching for cameras and bugs. There are so many in little baggies we grabbed after realizing just how many we’d be finding around the second floor of the clubhouse. Heading down to the first floor, we search areas other guys have already searched to ensure we don’t miss anything. It takes several hours but we manage to get through each area of the clubhouse and meet back up with everyone in the common room.

“I want everyone to dump out what you’ve found on your search,” Vault says as he steps up next to a table where King is working on his laptop.

We all step forward and lay out everything we’ve found in the clubhouse. King’s eyes bulge out of his head with all the cameras and bugs we’re laying on the table next to him. Vault shakes his head with everything he’s seeing and I can see the rage filling his eyes.

“It seems someone has taken advantage of us. We have no clue how long all of this shit has been here and what they’ve managed to catch from us. I’m gonna take a guess that none of the rooms here in the clubhouse were left alone. Not only have they gotten information on us, but they’ve managed to put them in spaces where the ol’ ladies and kids go. That’s not acceptable!” Vault states, slamming his hand down on the table so hard King has to grab for the cameras and bugs so they don’t go flying everywhere.

“I know exactly who that person is,” King says, a smirk on his face as he looks up at Vault before moving his eyes to me. “It seems Ice was very busy before she was removed from the clubhouse. These have all been activated by her over the last several weeks. The ones in Jinx’ room were activated first based on the dates I’m gettin’. She really fuckin’ wanted to know everythin’ about you. I’m happy you didn’t take Hope in your room before today when she found them.”

“Fuck!” I growl out, rage filling me with the thought of Ice spying on me for longer than anyone else. “Are we ever gonna get rid of this bitch?”

“Yeah we are. I’d have a few of you go grab her, but we all know that’s not gonna go down very well. So, we’ll have to figure out a way to get our hands on her. I don’t want a single one of you to go after her for any reason. If I find out you have, you’ll be demoted to a Prospect once again. Slim, I’m not gonna tell your guys what to do, but I don’t want them to go after Ice either. She’s one who will play the victim and make up accusations against anyone who gets close to her,” Vault states, giving everyone in this chapter a hard look so we know he’s serious as fuck right now.
