“Listen to what he has to say, Sean,” I tell him, and give him a hug.

“I will. Thank you for saving my ass. I promise I’ll be better.”

“I believe in you.” I kiss his cheek and he gets in the SUV with Leo while Nico opens the back door for me and I climb up inside.

“He’ll be fine, Cassie,” Nico consoles, and I lean my head on his shoulder.

“I know. I hope he takes Leo up on his offer. It was really nice of him.”

“He has his moments.”

“I like that Liam was scared of him.” I smile. “That guy needs to be punched in the face.”

“I would’ve gladly done it, but you had him under your thumb.”

“It’s easy to play someone so simple with a one-track mind.”

“You mean telling him you earned the money through sex with me?” Nico asks, and I laugh when I see Gabriel’s eyes shoot towards me in the rearview mirror – humor dancing in them.

“Yes. Exactly.” I stretch my neck up to whisper in his ear, “Besides, you know my pussy is worth it. And my mouth. More, actually. I would give you a reminder of both if we were alone right now, but I don’t think you want your cousin to see or hear how much I love having your cock choke me and stretch me open.”

Nico’s hand resting on my thigh presses into me, and I smile and kiss his ear before going back to sitting normally.

I peek up at him after a minute and smile, loving that he’s fighting with himself to gain control.

A little giggle spills out of me, which only has his eyes cutting to mine sharply.

“Is something wrong, Nico?” I ask innocently.

“No,” he says gruffly, and I pucker my lips in a silent air kiss.

His eyes turn to slits and he leans down to whisper in my ear this time, “You’ll pay for that, piccante.”

“Gladly.”

~ Chapter 30 ~

Nico

I didn’t know I could love someone the way I do Cassie. I thought I wasn’t capable because I hadn’t felt the need to spend more than a night with a single woman. It wasn’t until a red-haired siren pulled me close and drowned me in her ocean eyes that I came to know what I was missing, and I’ve been drowning ever since.

Cassandra fucking Connelly is the air I need to survive, and without her, I know I’d be lost and adrift a dark sea with no chance of survival.

“Nico, what did you do?” Cassie asks right when she walks through the door. She must’ve seen my gift for her on her way inside and isn’t happy about it.

I’m in the kitchen cooking dinner and she storms in with her hands on her hips. “Did you seriously buy me that car for a second time?”

“I did.” I nod. “Here, try this.” I hold out the wooden spoon in my hand for her to try the sauce I’m making.

She pops her mouth open and takes a taste of the end of the spoon. Her eyes widen. “Oh, Nico, that’s good.”

“Hopefully that won’t be the only time you say that tonight.”

She rolls her eyes and crosses her arms. “You’re trying to distract me with sex, but it won’t work. I’m mad at you.”

“Is that a challenge? Because, baby, I know I can distract you with sex and you won’t be mad at me for buying you another car.” I grab her hips and pull her close, planting a kiss to herpouty lips. “If you want a different car, you can choose whatever you’d like, but you’re getting a car.”

“No, I like that one. It’s really nice,” she grumbles, like it’s such an inconvenience to admit. I give her another kiss and she relaxes further. Her arms uncross and slide up and around my neck. “Thank you,” she whispers against my lips.
