There arehundredsof them, all dating back to a couple of months ago and ending the days they died.

Holy fuck.

Holy. Fuck.

Is Grayson…?

Could he possibly be…?

I don’t want to believe it, but the truth is quite literally staring at me in the face.

Footsteps sound in the hallway, and I exit out of the photos and then drop the phone between the sofa cushions. Quickly, I move to reclaim my seat in the armchair.

Ethan and Grayson enter the living room once more.

“I showed him my PlayStation, as requested,” Ethan says lightly, scratching at one of his tattoos. “Kind of awkward because Grayson doesn’t even like video games, but whatever.”

“You don’t?” Sydney blinks up at him innocently, not a hint of the sorrow or rage I saw in her expression only moments before. “I’m sorry, Gray. I thought you did.” She pats the sofa cushion beside her and then frowns, reaching down to grab out his phone. “What’s this? Grayson, I think your phone fell out of your pocket.”

She extends the device to him with a sweet smile, and he takes it without a word.

I can’t seem to get my heartbeat under control. It’s erratic. Loud. Deafening.

I don’t know what the fuck to do.

My sister’s boyfriend may be the werewolf hunter we’ve been looking for this entire time.

And if that’s the case…

Rage rushes through me, almost staggering in its intensity.

I’ll make Grayson pay for every life he took.

Larissa.

Alixandra.

Two innocent werewolves who didn’t deserve to die.

I meet Grayson’s gaze from across the room.

You think you can hurt my people and get away with it? Use my sister for your malicious games?

Once I find the evidence I need, I won’t turn you into the current Council.

I’ll kill you myself.

Game on.

Forty-Seven

“Isabella Martin, please report to the main office. I repeat, Isabella Martin, please report to the main office. Thank you.”

The intercom crackles once with static before going silent.

“Ohhh.” KD leans forward with a salacious wag of her eyebrows. “Someone’s in trouble.”
