“You can let us out on the next block,” Noah told the driver, pulling out his wallet. He glanced at me and smiled just as my phone vibrated again.

“Right here is fine,” Noah said as the car stopped. He handed the driver the fare and opened the door.

I sent the messageand watched Noah.

“This way,” he said, holding my hand and guiding me towards a crowd.

My phone vibrated again. Chase was calling. I looked at Noah, then back at my phone.

“Hey, I have to take this. Can you give me a minute?” I told him.

“Yeah, Holly’s right there. Come over when you’re done,” he said, leaning up to kiss my cheek before walking away.
