I shook my head. “You don’t need to decide now. Go. Take your new baby for a drive, and I’ll meet you in the room. Order some food for you and Morgan.”
He bounced over to me and laid a big kiss on my mouth. “You’re the best husband ever.”
I laughed and passed him the keys. “You’ll be making it up to me tonight.”
His eyes narrowed. “Hmm. How?”
I waggled my eyebrows at him. “Let’s just say that I have a nurse’s uniform I’d love to see you in.”
He slapped me on the chest and laughed. “You are incorrigible.” He leaned in closer and licked his lips. “Do you need me to nurse you better, Husband?”
“I have a bulge in my pants I need you to look at. There’s something wrong down there,” I whispered, pleasure beginning to simmer in the bottom of my belly as I thought about tonight and what I was going to do to him. “It gets hard whenever I think about you, Nurse Coltrane.”
He paused—clearly shocked that I’d called him bymylast name—before he grinned as widely as he had been when he’d left the florist shop. “I’ll be sure to give it a full examination when I take care of you tonight.”
“I’d like that.” With one more peck on the lips, I patted his ass. “Go. Morgan’s waiting for you to take your new wheels for a spin. I’ll take the Hummer back to the hotel and meet you there. I need to do a couple of errands for Derek, but then I’ll come back to the room.”
He bounced on his toes again and rushed off toward the car, where Morgan was already waiting. They both waved, and I blew Quin a kiss. I waited until they were gone, an old Britney Spears song blasting from the stereo system, before I went back into the florist shop.
The older lady smiled at me from behind the counter as I approached her.
“I like you, I like your store. Give my beautiful Quin everything he wants or needs.” I tugged out my wallet, then my platinum credit card, and I passed it over to her. “Open an account. No matter the cost, he gets it.”
She stared at me for a long moment, her smile never dwindling. She finally reached for the card and hummed. “You’re a good man. He’s lucky to have you....” She glanced down at my card. “Mr. Coltrane.”
“You’ll find I’m the lucky one.” I grinned and glanced out the window even though he wasn’t there anymore. “The luckiest.”
Morgan stayed for a few hours into the night, eating the five-star meal that arrived at our hotel room. She scarfed down every crumb, and I couldn’t blame her one bit. The food was delicious, and by the time I was done, my stomach felt bloated.
“Fuck, that was good,” I murmured, falling onto my back on the bed.
Morgan giggled while Quin rolled his eyes at me with a grin worthy of a kiss. I would’ve given it to him, too, but I could barely move.
“I should go,” Morgan said. She rose and brushed a kiss on both of Quin’s cheeks. “Call me tomorrow. I know you have classes, but we can sit down and go through all the things you liked and go from there. We need to start bringing the preparations together, and they all need to match your dress.”
“Yes, ma’am.” Quin laughed and gave her a big hug.
I watched because I never intruded on their moments. Morgan supported Quin when I couldn’t, and even after the wholeshooting up Quin’s car and then throwing a dead body onto itthing, Morgan never once wavered as his best friend. As far as I was concerned, she and her husband were family. Whatever she needed, she’d have.
With a wave toward me, she left us alone.
Quin turned to me almost immediately after the door closed, sparkling eyes full of hunger that made my cock twitch.
“Hi, Baby Girl,” I whispered, licking my lips as I let my gaze wander down the length of his body to the pretty blue dress he wore.
“Hey.” He took one step forward, then another, before he was in front of me and close enough for me to wrap an arm around his waist. I dragged him against my side, and he leaned down for a kiss.
“You’re graduating soon,” I murmured, tidbits of our conversation with Morgan earlier reminding me he was in his senior year and ready to be finished. “What kind of present do you want as your graduation gift?”
“You?” He grinned. Clearly, he was beginning to learn a few things from me.
I smacked his ass lightly, and he chuckled.
“You already fixed my car. I don’t need much else, Husband.” He combed his fingers through my hair, the nails brushing over my scalp in a tantalizing way. My cock twitched and blood rushed south.
“I’ll get you something good.”
He hummed in agreement. “So, where’s the uniform?” The spark in his stare had my insides melting. I’d never seen this kind of desire from him, and I wasn’t sure if it was because of the new car I’d bought him, the idea of wearing the nurse’s uniform, or if shopping for wedding flowers just made him horny.
