My body tightened as I rode the pleasure wave, my body shuddering in ecstasy. He halted, burying himself deep inside me while low grunts rumbled in his chest. His body fell on mine as the warmth of our skin melted into each other, and the scent of sex radiated in the air. He pulled out, removed the condom, and tossed it in the trashcan next to the bed. Sitting up, I covered myself with the sheet and stared at him as he grabbed his phone and began texting someone.
“What are you doing?”
“Texting Ollie to bring up my extra suit and bag from the car.”
“Uh, you don’t have to do that. You can go now,” I said.
The corners of his mouth curved upward as he looked up from his phone.
“It’s late and I’m tired.”
“Then I suggest you go to the lobby and reserve a room.”
“I already have. This one.” His charming smile gripped me. “We’ll get some sleep, have an early breakfast, and then Ollie will drive you to the prison after dropping me at the courthouse. How about a drink?” He climbed out of bed.
“Sure. God knows I need one.” I sighed.
He chuckled as he walked out of the room. I sat there, my back against the headboard, holding the sheet that covered my naked body—a body that still trembled with pure satisfaction.
“Here you go.” He handed me a glass of scotch.
“Thanks.” I tipped the glass to my lips.
Roman went to the closet, pulled out the white hotel robe, and put it on. Then, there was a knock at the door.
“That’s Ollie. I’ll be right back.”
A few moments later, he walked into the bedroom, set his brown leather bag on the chair, and hung his suit in the closet. Grabbing his boxer briefs, he put them on, climbed back into bed, and picked up his drink from the nightstand.
“I had a lot of fun tonight.” He smiled, tipping the glass to his lips.
“Don’t get used to it.”
He let out a chuckle.
“How did you get my phone number? I want the truth, or you’re sleeping on the couch.”
“After spending a couple of days trying to find you with no luck, I called the Shore Club and told them that you left something behind in my room, and I needed to get your number so I could give it back to you.”
“And they just gave it out like no big deal? What if you were a stalker and planned to murder me? Do they not have a privacy policy?”
“I don’t know. But it’s like you’re a ghost. You have no social media presence or anything. I couldn’t find anything about you online, nor could my staff.”
“That’s the way I like it.” I finished my scotch and set the glass down.
“You’re a very mysterious woman, Morgan.” He lifted his hand and softly stroked my cheek as our eyes locked. “You won’t need my legal services in the future, will you? Because if you’re running or are in some kind of trouble, we can’t do this anymore, and that would be a shame.”
“First, I’m not running, nor am I in any kind of trouble. Second, we aren’t doing this again.”
“That’s what you said earlier, and now look.” A sexysmile crossed his lips. “You couldn’t wait for me to do this.” He leaned over and softly stroked my neck with his tongue. “Or this.” His hand pulled the sheet back and groped my breast. “And this.” His fingers trailed down my torso and plunged inside me.
I gasped because it felt too good. He was fueling my already fiery body, and I willingly accepted it.
The sound of his alarm jolted me. My eyes flew open at the piercing sound that filled the once-quiet space. He rolled over and shut it off. I felt the softness of his lips press against my shoulder.
“Morning. We have to get up, get ready, and order room service. I’ve worked up quite the appetite from last night.” He climbed out of the bed and headed to the bathroom. “Call in-room dining and order whatever you want,” he shouted, turning on the shower.
“What do you want?” I asked.
