“Come in.”

“Hi, Morgan.” Love stepped inside.

“Love?” My brows furrowed. “What are you doing here?”

“I need your help, but it has to stay between us.”

“Okay. What’s wrong?”

“I need you to do some digging into Harrison and follow him.”

“Why?”

“I think he’s cheating on me.”

“And why do you think that?”

“Because he’s been getting phone calls from someone and leaves the room to talk. He tells me it’s business, but I don’t believe him. The other day, he got a call and left the house. So, I followed him, and he went to the Four Seasons. I think he’s meeting someone there and having sex.” She began to cry. “You know his reputation.”

I grabbed a tissue from the box and handed it to her. “Just because he went to a hotel doesn’t mean he’s secretly seeing someone.”

“He is. I can feel it.” She sobbed.

“He got a call early this morning, so I hid behind the wall and listened. He said he’d be there at two p.m.”

“Where?”

“I don’t know. But he’s still home. You can follow him and find out. Please, Morgan. I need to know if he’s cheating on me.” She sobbed.

I stood from my chair, walked over, and placed my hand on her shoulder.

“I’ll find out what he’s doing.”

“Thank you.” She jumped up and hugged me.

A few moments after she left my office, Roman walked in.

“Hello, gorgeous.”

“I thought you were in court.” I smiled, wrapping my arms around his neck.

“The case was dismissed.” A wide grin crossed his lips.

“Congratulations, counselor.” I kissed him.

“Was that Love I saw walk out of here?”

“Yes.” I bit my bottom lip.

“Why was she here?”

“Well.” My nose scrunched. “I can’t say.” I turned and grabbed my purse.

“Morgan, why was Love here?”

“I promised her I wouldn’t tell.”

“But your promises not to tell doesn’t include not telling me. I’m your boyfriend who loves you so much, and you’re having my child. That makes me exempt.”
