“Well, believe it,” I said. “Your brother was having an affair with your girlfriend.”

“The baby was his?” Theo asked.

“Yeah, we believe so,” Roman spoke.

“Why? Why would he do that to me?” Tears filled his eyes.

“Because he was jealous of you. He had been since you were children,” I said. “He set it up to make it look like youwere the one who killed Grace. He couldn’t risk her telling you the truth. Besides, he wanted the V.P. position at your father’s company.”

“Sit tight, Theo. Hopefully, all of this will be over soon, and you’ll be a free man,” Roman said.

“Thank you for believing in me.”

We left the prison and climbed into the back of Roman’s car.

“I can guarantee you that Grace went to that sex club with Gregory on Monday and Wednesday nights,” I said.

“I’m thinking the same thing. We’ll find out tonight if anyone recognizes her.” He smirked.

“I need to do some shopping for tonight,” I said.

“Then Ollie will take you to whichever stores you want.” He pulled up to the curb of the building, and Roman climbed out. “I’ll pick you up at seven o’clock.” He winked before shutting the door.

I put on the long, auburn wig and stared at myself in the mirror. As I colored my lips red, my phone rang.

“Hey, you.” I smiled.

Uncle Louie’s brows furrowed as he stared at me. “That better be a wig you’re wearing.”

“It is.” I laughed.

“Thank God. What the hell are you wearing?”

I held the phone out so he could see my entire outfit.

“Roman and I are going to a sex club.”

“Excuse me?” His brow arched.

“We’re going for a case we’re working on.”

“And you’re disguised, why?”

“Because the man who will be there tonight knows who I am.”

“You need to be careful, Morgan.”

“I’m always careful, Uncle Louie.”

“Anyway, I did some digging on that FBI agent,” he said.

“And?”

“He has several accounts in the Cayman Islands, which total over five million dollars. I’m assuming he’s laundering money. Also, four years ago, he was placed on administrative leave while being investigated for shooting and killing a store owner, which was a front for money laundering. The FBI ultimately ruled it an accident. But we both know it wasn’t.”

“No. It wasn’t an accident. Thanks, Uncle Louie. I’ll see what else I can discover once I wrap up this case.”

“I know you can take care of yourself, Morgan, but I still worry. I promised your father I would take care of you if anything ever happened to him.”
