Morgan
“Good job in there.” Roman smiled as we left the courthouse.
“Do you have plans for tonight?” I asked.
“No. What did you have in mind?”
“Good. We’re going to a sex club.” I grinned.
“Excuse me?” Roman’s brow arched.
“According to Gregory’s credit card statements, he visits this particular sex club every Monday and Wednesday night. Maybe someone there knows something.”
“Where to, Roman?” Ollie asked.
“Take us to the prison. We need to talk to Theo. A sex club?” He cocked his head.
“Oh, please. I know you’re secretly excited.” I smirked.
“Gregory knows who you are, though.”
“I’ll wear a disguise. He won’t recognize me.”
We waited in the room for Theo. When the officer brought him in, he handcuffed him to the table.
“That isn’t necessary,” Roman said. “Get those off him.”
“What’s going on?” Theo asked.
“I have good news, Theo. The judge agreed to reopen your case.”
“Oh my God! Are you serious, Roman?”
“Yes. The new trial begins in two weeks, which doesn’t give us much time to prepare,” Roman said.
“We’ll be fine.” I smiled. “I have a question for you, Theo.”
“What is it?”
“When you and Grace were together, did she ever go out without you?”
“I don’t understand what you mean.”
“Did she have certain nights of the week that she would go out with friends or whatever?”
“Yeah. Monday nights were her book club, and Wednesday nights were dinner with her girlfriends. Why?”
“Just wondering,” I said, glancing at Roman.
“Roman, I don’t understand. Who do you think killed her?”
“Your brother,” I blurted out.
“Excuse me?” His brows furrowed. “What the fuck?”
“Listen, Theo. Morgan found out that Gregory was the one who gave Grace that diamond heart necklace. His car was also spotted outside the restaurant that night,” Roman said.
Theo cupped his face in his hands. “I don’t believe it.” His head shook.
