“Well, bully for you,” I snapped.

“What, you’re English now?”

I snarled and looked away, my arms crossed over my chest.

“Okay, okay. I’ve got something that might cheer you up.”

“Is it the orgasm you stole from me?” I grumbled, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

Kage chuckled. “It’s something even better.”

I sniffed, but I was intrigued. He walked over to his bedside table and retrieved a small box, handing it to me. “Open it.”

I opened it and pulled out a small, oval shaped object that looked like a tiny egg. I stared at him, confused. I had no idea what the hell it was or what he expected me to do with it.

“It’s a vibrator. You’ll put it in your pussy. And I’m going to control it.”

I blinked at him, my cheeks heating. “You want me to wear this in public? When?”

“That’s going to be a surprise.”

“More anticipation?”

He grinned. “See. You’re catching on already. All you need to know is that egg is going to have you at my mercy, and by the time we’re done, you’ll have the strongest orgasm of your life.”

Even stronger than the ones I just had? I wasn’t sure that was possible.

But to have him activate this thing while I was in public? With no ability to control how often he turned it on or how intense it was? What if I couldn’t stop myself from coming and I humiliated myself?

I stared at the egg then back at him.

I’d had fun with him. From his lessons in seduction to having a taste of his cock inside me to him going down on me, even if he had deprived me at the end, I’d had fun. He was showing me a playful side to him that I never would have imagined, one I wondered if he ever showed other people. We were going to end, maybe sooner than I expected, but until then, I could enjoy everything he was willing to give me.

I nodded. “Okay. You name the time and place. But fair is fair. Is there an egg thingy for guys?”

I waited for him to pale or brush me off. He just roared with laughter, caught me around the neck, and kissed me. “There sure is. You like the idea of having me at your mercy, Rebel?”

I smiled and nodded, but inside my heart was melting.

I didn’t need him at my mercy.

But I couldn’t completely ignore the little voice inside my voice that was starting to drown out my common sense. The voice that said whatever we were doing together, our future wasn’t written in stone.

That there was at least the infinitesimal possibility that one day, someday, Kage could really be mine.

Chapter 46

Camille

The next day, I didn’t have any classes but Kage did. Before he left, we agreed I’d meet him at the main campus library. In addition to my upcoming tests, I had two major papers that were due soon, and Kage had his own exams to prep for.

I spent the day studying on my own in my room then met Simone for a quick lunch. From there, I headed toward the library. I was almost there when I spotted Dante. He was manning a table in the quad for the counseling office where different student organizations passed out information. Two female students were giggling and flirting with him. I watched them for a few seconds but saw nothing in his expression or body language that suggested he was interested in them. Relieved, my feet carried me to him at a fast clip. I hadn’t realized until now just how much I’d missed him over the past few days.

By the time I got to him, the students who’d been at his table had left and it was just us. He grinned and his blue eyes searched mine, teasing and probing at the same time.“You’re looking bright-eyed and pink-cheeked, Peaches. Your roommates treating you alright?” he asked.

My face grew hot, vivid memories of how many times Kage had made me come since I’d last seen Dante flashing in my mind.

“Ah, so I’m right. Kage’s handiwork, I presume?”
