Before I can say anything, he’s gone, leaving me standing there stunned.
“Young lady, I think you’ve got some splaining to do,” G says, doing his best Ricky Ricardo impression. I want to laugh, but instead my shoulders sag.
“Later. For now, I just need to see Amity.”
Chapter Five
Havoc
Istand, leaning against the shack, waiting for G. I know he’ll turn up at some point. Amity could have died because of these assholes, and after what went down on the movie set, I think the man needs somewhere to channel his anger.
Closing my eyes, I think back to the tiny woman who came tearing into the clubhouse earlier and grin. I can’t believe she’s here. I’d just about given up on finding her, and then she came strolling into my clubhouse smelling like cupcakes and looking like a sinner’s wet dream.
I still remember that night, the memories are so vivid it’s like she’s right beside me. After years of wading through shit, she’s like a breath of fresh fucking air that I so desperately need right now.
Hearing footsteps, I stand up and smirk when G rounds the corner.
“Am I that predictable?”
‘No. I just know this is exactly where I’d be if Amity were mine.”
He folds his arms across his chest. “You gonna stop me?”
“I’m gonna help you. The way I look at it, both of us have a hell of a lot to gain from watching these fuckers die.”
“I think I’m going to like having you as my president,” he jokes as he walks inside. I follow behind him, groaning at the smell of shit.
“I’ll remind you, you said that,” I laugh, knowing we’ll likely butt heads somewhere along the way.
We stand next to each other, taking in my two former brothers, who look pitiful, chained, facing each other on opposite walls.
“Acid and Knuckles. Good to see you, brothers. Khan told me you came to welcome me back into the Raven Souls fold.”
Acid tries to lift his head but fails. Knuckles eyes dart my way before they flick to the door. I grin, knowing there is no escape for them.
“Listen, man, it wasn’t personal…We were just following orders,” Acid says as G walks toward him.
“Oh I don’t know about that. It was very fucking personal to me. That was my old lady you almost fucking killed. It was my brain that could have been splattered all over the road.” G snarls down at him.
“We thought you were Havoc!” he yells when G presses his boot to Acid’s stomach wound. He squeals like a pig before passing out.
I look at G and chuckle.
“He thought you were me?” G frowns.
“Maybe he was drunk.” I shrug. “I haven’t seen either of them since I was sent to prison. I’m a hell of a lot bigger than the man they remember. I used to be around your size.”
“The tattoos,” Knuckles mumbles. “We heard he had tattoos.”
I shake my head. “So they heard through the grapevine I’d gotten some new ink. And they put two and two together and got forty-six.” I summarize.
“That’s flimsy as fuck. You’re not buying this, right?”
“He always was as dumb as a rock, so I won’t rule it out. It’s more likely they spotted you and Amity riding past and couldn’t miss out on an opportunity to fuck shit up. I don’t think they cared who they hit. Maybe they thought you’d kick me to the curb if I brought nothing but trouble. Either way, Acid admitted that they were sent here to take me out. I’ll be damned if I know why, though. I’m the one who was fucked over, not the other way around.”
“I doubt we’ll get the answers we need from these two. They’re too far down the food chain to know anything.”
“Agreed. So, on that note, there really isn’t much need to keep them around. Which one do you want?”
