Page 49 of Where We Fall

The second I know she's coming, I let myself release inside of her.

"Fuck, yeah," I scream as I come.

I've never screamed during sex before. It felt like the only way to deal with the pleasure that came with her gripping my cock.

I fall on top of her, letting my lungs fight to get my breathing under control. I pull out and lie down next to her.

"Wow," I breathe.

"Yeah…wow."

Chapter Fifteen

Lexi

"Areyouserious?Wasit that good?" Zoe whispers through the phone.

I'm sitting at my desk, trying to be discreet but knowing she’ll refuse to leave me alone if I don't give her some details.

"Why are you whispering?" I say softly. "You're not even at work yet."

She laughs. "Oh, yeah, sorry. Seriously. Tell me."

I sigh as I think about last night. "It was like…having sex for the first time because all the other times were nothing compared to it."

"Damn, girl. I'm so happy for you. When are you going to see him again?"

"We haven't talked about it. I mean, technically, I've already seen him this morning, but his brother was in his office."

"Well, if anyone deserves this, it's you."

"I'm not even going to argue with you on that. That's how happy I am."

"Good, you shouldn't argue because I'm right. Now, I'm gonna let you get back to work. Call me tonight when you leave so I can ask more questions."

I laugh. "I'll talk to you later."

I hang up the phone and do my best to focus on my to-do list instead of worrying about Marcus across the hall.

Last night was not what I had expected. I figured it would be good with him. I didn't know it would be so good it would crush all fantasies I've ever had. I always thought sex that good wasn't real. If I only knew.

My phone rings. I look at the screen and see that it's Marcus' extension.

My entire body tingles with excitement.

"Hello," I say with a sultry voice.

"Hey, Lex. Can I see you in my office for a minute?" he says casually.

"Oh, um, yeah. I'll be right there."

"Thanks."

I feel a bit embarrassed. Here I am thinking he's calling because he's thinking about me when it's actually business-related. I need to figure out how to separate this…whatever this is…with our professional relationship.

When I walk into his office, I'm fully prepared to be hit with some task or question regarding the new order forms.

I tap lightly on the door.
