I pinched the bridge on my nose and growled, “Someone better tell me where Naomi is before I start knocking skulls.”

“I told you,” Ava sang. “She went to get spring rolls.”

I was gonna start with her skull, and if Tanner had anything to say about it, he’d be next.

Thankfully, the brunette spoke up. “She left with Bailey this morning.”

“So she’s been gone all day?” Fuck, that wasn’t a good sign—Jax probably already had her.

“They must be really good spring rolls.” Ava pointed out with an excited grin on her face.

I sighed and reminded myself the girl couldn’t weigh more than ninety pounds soaking wet. She might die if I slapped her, and I can’t imagine that would impress her brother too much. The last person I wanted to deal with was Preston Whitley. Besides, I had other things on my mind. Like what state I’d find Naomi in if I found her at all.

Suddenly it felt like the ground had fallen out from under me. I hunched over, unable to catch my breath. What if I didn’t find her?

“Bailey called about ten minutes ago and said they were on their way back.”

My gaze shifted from the brunette to the blonde beside her, who had a pale stare on her face, and thanked god at least one of the chicks in this place had some sense.

“Where were they?” I could ride out and meet her, make sure she got back safe.

The brunette’s face screwed up. “Someplace called Ashen Springs.”

What?

I nearly gave myself a heart attack, and the whole time Naomi was at home? Why the fuck would she go there? Didn’t she know how much danger she was in—then again, why would she? I was too busy trying to push her away to worry about anything else. Did I really think that would keep her safe? Or was I trying to protect myself?

I almost died when Sam was taken from me, but Naomi wasn’t Sam. She was strong and fierce. Naomi could handle my world. My corruption wasn’t tainting her. She was making me whole.

Naomi Prescott was the other half of my soul. She always had been. I was just too much of a fucking coward to see it. She saved me from myself, and now it was my turn to save her.

My eyes scanned the faces staring at me. All those innocent eyes weighed on me. If Jax came here looking for Naomi and didn’t find her, they’d be the ones to pay the price. I couldn’t let that happen.

“You,” I pointed at the blonde. “Go get everyone.”

She hesitated for a second until I barked out, “Now.” After which, she scuttled away.

The brunette rose a brow when I looked over at her.

“You go with him,” I tipped my head back at Tanner. “And round up the rest of your girls.”

“Why?”

I wasn’t in the mood to explain myself to a naive little girl, so I shot Tanner a look.

He saluted me and said, “You got it, Boss.” He then threw the girl over his shoulder before sauntering down the stairs.

“And find me a van,” I yelled while pulling out my phone to call Beast.

He and Mannix went back to meet the doctor and make sure any wounded got treatment. I guess he was waiting for my call because he answered on the second ring.

“You get her?”

“No.” I rolled my eyes. “Apparently, she decided to take a trip home.”

“Okay?”

I could hear the question in his tone. Trust me—I got it. Naomi wasn’t the type to just up and go somewhere. I myself had heard her complain how Ashen Springs didn’t have half the stores Miami did.
