For the first time since the incident that plunged me into this dark hole, I came alive, burning from inside, for her.
“Are you going to kill me? I swear I have nothing to do with Ivan.”
I hold my index finger up to my lips over my mask.
“No more talking. Keep going against me, I might have to.”
Her fingers twitch by the seat belt. Taking the gun in my hand, I press it against her temple and her body shakes, her breathing erratically filling the car. I’d never hurt her, I just want to see how far I can push her.
“You run, I chase. But I promise you won’t enjoy what happens when I catch you… I might though.”
There is nomightabout it. I would enjoy every second of claiming her. She’s such a firecracker, I imagine she’s just as feisty in bed.
My eyes flick up and down her tiny frame. She’s at least a foot smaller than me, with a petite, slender body.
No way she could handle me. Not to start with, anyway.
God, I’d have to gag her. Or would I? She would look perfect choking on my cock.
I need to stop thinking like this. Remember the plan. No time for bratty women to veer me off course.
CHAPTER 12
ANASTASIA
“I don’t know.I probably can run faster than you. All those muscles would slow you down.” Sarcasm is my only option as he presses his gun against my head.
I don’t think he’d hurt me. He would have if he wanted too.
He looks at me for a long moment, then reholsters his weapon. “You’re either brave or stupid. And I don’t think you’re dumb at all.”
“Did it hurt?” I try not to show my relief.
“What?” he grumbles, taking a turn fast enough to push me against the door.
I lift my chin, staring down my nose at him. “Giving me a compliment.”
His fist tightens on the steering wheel. “Would you rather I called you a brat and bent you over my knee?” He shifts in his seat, adjusting his pistol.
Why did the thought of laying across those meaty thighs make my heart race?
I need to change the subject.
“Where are we going?” This isn’t the way to my mom’s house. I watch the trees grow closer together, nothing like the apartment where I live.
“A safe place.”
“Just take me back home. I’ll tell you where to go.” I don’t even know who he is.
“No.” His response is short, gruff.
My lips purse watching him. “Are you holding me for ransom? Shouldn’t I be tied up or something?” I pull my knees under me so I can lean over the console, holding my wrists together.
His dark brows drop before he grabs both of my arms in one hand. “What the fuck are you doing?” He pushes me away so I sit back against my seat.
“Just trying to figure out what the hell is going on.” My arms cross and I let my lower lip stick out.
I hate not knowing.
