I felt calm and soothed.
I felt safe.
And I also felt more and more horny too!
But that wasthen. Right now I’m getting back into my work clothes and readying myself to speak to Frank Debussy.
Daddy says that I can do this and make Debussy sign the deal here and now. He’s already got the contract, so all he needs to do is electronically sign it and send it back to me.
Sounds easy right?
Well if it was that easy it would have happened already.
But this time it’s different – I justknowit is.
I’m a confident Little who knows his business inside out. I’m the best performing executive in this whole company, and I’m not going to take a backward step even if Frank Debussy tries to play hardball.
The fact that I’ve got my Daddy in the office with me is a big boost though, I can’t lie.
The sight of Rafa sitting calmly and with a look of steely focus on his face is helping me to get truly into the right mindset to get this done.
Now all I need to do I pick up the phone and put Frank Debussy in his place once and for all…
‘Come on, boy,’ Rafa says. ‘You can do this. Take a breath. Pick up the phone. Make it happen.’
Okay, here goes.
One… two… three… go!
‘Frank, it’s Aaron,’ I say. ‘Listen, I’m going to get straight to the point. I respect you and everything you’ve done in business. But it’s time that you reciprocated that respect. You’ve had more than enough time to think about it. It’s time to sign the deal or walk away. This is the moment. I need an answer, or I’m taking this proposition elsewhere. And believe me, there are investors who would doanythingto get their hands on this. So, what’s it to be?’
OMG – did I take things too far?
There’s no response at the other end of the phone.
But the line’s not dead – in fact, I can almost hear Frank Debussy’s brain ticking over.
I shoot a glance at Rafa, and he looks back at me with those smoldering dark brown eyes of his.
I can see that Rafa is living every moment of this alongside me – I want to do this for him as much as I do for myself. We’re a team now, Daddy and Little together against the world.
‘Aaron?’ Frank says, his voice crisp and clear over on the West Coast.
‘I’m here,’ I say, careful to not sound too eager, or nervous – even though my heart is pounding at a million beats per second.
‘I’m in,’ Frank says, his voice sounding full of warmth. ‘You just showed me a killer side to yourself that I hadn’t seen, and I’mall therefor it. I’m signing the contract now and you should have it in your email in the next sixty seconds. I look forward to doing business with you. And if this deal works out, believe me when I say that there will be more chances to work on an even bigger scale moving forward.’
‘Thank you, Frank. I appreciate it,’ I say. ‘I have to go now, I’ve got the tennis legend Rafa Soleil in the room with me and we’ve got some celebrating to do.’
Frank chuckles and wishes me farewell.
I put the phone down and immediately run over and embrace Rafa.
‘You did it, baby boy,’ Rafa says, emotion in his voice.
‘No,wedid it!’ I reply, meaning every word. ‘I’m super-proud of what I did, but it was you who gave me the belief to trust in myself and go all-out.’
‘Hey, that’s very kind,’ Rafa says, his modesty preventing him from going too overboard. ‘Now how about we bounce and head back to the penthouse for some serious fun?’
