“They were half an hour ago. With the radar, our man was able to detect four people inside.”

“Okay. Keep an eye on Chiara. Call me if there’s a problem.”

“Of course, sir.”

I hang up, needing to be done with this once and for all. Being head of security, Miles ran point on logistics, including leading a team to stake out the place. If he says they’re there, then I have no doubt bodies will fall tonight.

When we kill Faro and his brothers, whoever is left in their organization will be easy to dispose of. Not that there are many left to destroy.

“After we kill them, we’ve gotta celebrate at Volt and take a few shots in honor of Pops and Matteo,” Enzo says, pulling up his black hoodie. “We’ve been waiting for this for too long not to get shit-faced properly.”

“I don’t think Dad would want us remembering him with liquor,” Dante adds with a chuckle.

Then we all join in, remembering how much our father hated any and all types of alcohol. We never even saw beer at the house.

All alcohol does is make you weak, Dom. You remember that.

I hear his words clear as day, as though he’s right here, but I don’t see his face as well anymore. I try hard to remember every detail of my parents, but it’s not as loud these days. Their image is fading, and I hate thinking that one day, I may not see them at all. Sometimes, I want to go back in time and find them again, hear their voices, but I’ll never get that.

“You assholes watch your back tonight,” I tell my brothers.

“We’ll be fine,” Dante adds. “I have a pretty little thing named Raquel to get back to.” He wags his brows.

I shake my head. “You tell her you don’t ever plan on divorcing her yet, or are you saving that for the honeymoon?”

“Nah.” He grins. “She’s going to fall in love with me way before I give her the cold, hard truth. I can’t wait to invite her daddy to the wedding tonight before I kill him.” He laughs methodically.

“And how’s the stripper?” I ask Enzo.

“Difficult.” He clenches his jaw. “Feisty as hell too.” A smile spreads on his face. “Just the way I like ’em.”

Dante grips his shoulder and snickers. “You’re so used to them falling at your feet. Poor boy, found himself a real hard one to crack.”

“She’ll crack, don’t worry. And if not, I’ll make her.”

“Sir,” Roger calls out from the driver’s seat. “We’re going to be there in one minute.”

I nod, turning back to my brothers, our expressions now serious. “We’re going to kill fast, then burn down the fucking place. No one get creative. Got it?”

“You’ve gotta let me have a little fun,” Dante throws in as the van stops.

I glare at him with a warning, and he laughs in response. Dante likes to find sadistic ways to hurt our enemy. As much as I admire that, I don’t want the risk. I don’t plan on losing any more of my brothers.

A spasm shoots right into my rib cage as I remember Matteo, the bronze-skinned, brown-haired boy with eyes as big as saucers. He was a beautiful kid with the sweetest demeanor. He’d never hurt a soul. He once found an ant in the house and begged my father to let it go. That’s who he was, and who he would’ve been if Faro hadn’t killed him.

The rage fuels my depravity, feeding my blood with adrenaline, powerful enough to break the neck of every man inside that house.

“All right. Let’s do this,” I say, opening the door, jumping out once we arrive at our spot, with my brothers and Roger following.

We’ve got one of our SUVs behind us, carrying six of our men, ten of us in total. We shouldn’t need more than that to kill the four of them and anyone else they have there.

Collectively, we march toward the house, shrouded in darkness, sitting on probably two acres of property. There is not a home in sight within a two-mile radius. We have that to our advantage.

I have some of my men positioned in the front while the rest are following me to the back.

Once we’re there, I peer through the window, not seeing a thing. The inside is pitch black. Roger scans the first floor of the two-story colonial home with the motion detection radar.

He shakes his head, indicated no movement on the first floor. But they may be upstairs.
