Page 124 of My Ruthless Opponent

I am wearing a simple two-piece Hawaiian dress. My top is ultra-cropped with a halter neck and a tie back. It pushes my breasts together and shows an ample amount of cleavage. And my high-waisted maxi-length skirt has slits on either side. It’s beautiful and feels good on the skin because of its soft fabric.

I was going to wear one of my casual short dresses but Brielle was adamant I follow the theme of the party. When I argued about not having an outfit, she smirked as if she was waiting for me to say that and ran to her room and got me this dress.

She bought the dress for me from one of the local boutiques when they were out shopping in the afternoon.

A glint of triumph lit her gaze when I kept staring at the dress in awe.

She and I both knew I loved it. But that didn’t save her from getting an earful about wasting money on me. She just rolled her eyes the whole time I was lecturing her and practically commanded me to try the dress and show her after I was done.

I am grateful for the new dress and can’t wait to see Raleigh’s reaction.

Apart from exchanging a few text messages, we didn’t see each other the whole day.

I scan the area again.

The men are in shorts and Hawaiian shirts.

Archer is surrounded by a small group of females. Some of them are resort staff.

Nina and Brielle are dancing on a peppy number. I smile at the sight. They didn’t let the rivalry get between them.

I was expecting Nina to show up in a solemn mood but she was laughing and having fun. All because Brielle is happy.

Chris and Mia are munching on the finger food, all while blushing and exchanging shy glances.

A chuckle escapes my lips. I never imagined seeing them like this. They’re so cute together.

After waiting for ten more minutes, I approach Nina and Brielle.

“Hey.”

“Cool party, ice queen.” Nina smiles at me. Brielle swats her arm.

“Don’t call her that!”

Nina smiles at her fondly, throws her arm over Brielle’s neck before turning her gaze to me.

“Sorry.”

“It’s okay. Have you seen Raleigh?”

“Nope. I thought he was here.” Trust me, if he were here, my eyes would’ve found him in record speed.

“When was the last time you saw him?”

“An hour ago. In the atrium. He was busy in a video conference.”

“Thanks,” I murmur before pivoting toward the atrium.

“He’ll be here when he wants to. Don’t disturb him, Hannah.”

I halt at her warning, then face her.

“RJ almost made me pee my pants with a single glare when I tried to talk to him earlier.”

“Why? What was this video conference about?” I frown.

“Fuck if I know. I just heard him mentioning New York.”
