Weird.

“I told her I wanted to spend some quality time with my fiancée alone after the photoshoot.” Raleigh faces me, answering my unspoken question.

I want to shout at him. And demand answers. I want to shake him and kick him and scratch him. Throw a fit for this mind fuckery.

I do all that in my head. On the outside, I am folding my arms across my chest and standing in front of him with a blank face.

“Drop that façade of indifference. Or keep that up if you want a repeat from this afternoon?” Raleigh shrugs. His wet dark hair is all over his forehead. It is fucking hot.

His thick stubble is looking even hotter. Damn it. I am supposed to stay mad at him. And here I am, internally fanning myself.

“Hannah?” He cocks a brow.

Oh. Right. He just told me he’ll kiss me if I won’t “drop the façade of indifference” and now, I am tempted to challenge him.

I drop my hands to my side and glare at him. It’s dark out here. The pool area is illuminated with small bulbs mounted on trees around the landscape.

The cool breeze should make me shiver, oddly I am warm everywhere.

It could be because of my anger. Could be because my body is tempted to take him up on his offer but I can’t forget his betrayal. I can’t let it slide.

I might not return to our suite tonight. I am going to work with my team editing and selecting the best pictures from today. So I should have this conversation now. Because if I don’t, I’ll have to stay in this sour mood throughout the night.

“Who was she?” I lift my chin.

“Summer.” Thank God he is not wasting time playing one of his mind games. For once, he is not answering my question with a question.

“She is my childhood friend.”

My temper flares. She had Raleigh by her side practically her whole life. They are close. The thought prickles my heart like a needle.

I release a breath. “Should I be worried?”

He regards me with furrowed brows. “Worried about what?”

“My image. I won’t let you tarnish it.”

Annoyance flashes in his eyes. “How do you think I will tarnish yourimage?”

“You were adamant about neither of us sleeping with anyone in the duration of our relationship.”

“And I still stand by my words. I told you Summer and I are best friends.” He lets out an exasperated sigh.

“Sure. Her blowing you kisses were totally normal.”

Raleigh tries to speak but I cut him off. “Why did you tell her about our deal?”

“You’re spying on me now?”

I scoff. “I didn’t have to. I heard you talking about me. You must be close if you had to tell her about our king-size bed.”

“Careful, princess. Your jealousy is showing.”

I chuckle, which is devoid of any humor. “That’s where you’re wrong,RJ. I just want to make sure you are keeping up your end of the deal. If not, let me know. I want to have fun too.”

His jaw hardens and his eyes narrow. “And what’s your idea of having fun?” He asks as he takes a step closer.

“You don’t look that dense to me. Take a guess.” I smirk.
