The Beacon: Ostara Festival Canceled
March19,2022
Mayor Douglas would like to remind the citizens of Beacon Grove that the annual Ostara festival has officially been canceled. He encourages families to celebrate with their household members and avoid large crowds.
When asked to comment, Mayor Douglas explained: “The Spring Equinox is a very special time for us to plant the seeds of our future prosperity, which we believe can be done in the safety of your own homes. We’re still trying to avoid the threat that large gatherings pose to the peace we’ve been able to attain in Beacon Grove. We hope to be able to open the city up for celebrations in the coming months and we thank you for your patience as we calibrate to the changing times.”
While the three-day festival has been canceled, there are still ways for us to personally bring in the new season with open arms.
Katy Goff, owner of the Toadstool Flower Shop, has come up with a list:
Katy says you can sow wildflower seeds in your personal gardens to feed the withering bee and butterfly population or plant your own fruits and vegetables to enjoy throughout the season
Cleaning your home is a great way to clear out old patterns and start anew
Decorate your altar to symbolize your manifestations for the next year
Enjoy a walk through the woods to ground yourself and connect with Mother Nature
Journaling and meditation
We know the past few holidays on the wheel of the year have been hard on everyone, but the people of Beacon Grove are a resilient crowd. Continue to do your part to ensure the safety of others, and we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled celebrating in no time.
