Lia:I just got home from being in the studio for NINE hours. I’m never getting up from this couch again.

Haydn:I want to hear it.

Lia:I sang it for you last night.

Haydn:Video chat isn’t the same.

Lia:As hearing a recording?

Haydn:No. Being in person together.

Lia:AGREED.

Haydn:What if I come to Tennessee again? I have so many stories and pictures collected, I could use some down time to pull it all together.

Lia:Yes. When?

Haydn:I’m looking now… next week?

Lia:Perfect.

Haydn:Just a sec. I’m getting a call…

Haydn:LIA. That was the agent I’ve been working with. A publisher is interested in my book! They love the idea of me pulling together the stories of different people I’ve met in Alaska, and they love my photos too. They want me to have a rough draft to them by January.

Lia:YAY!!!!! Congrats! This is so well-deserved. Are they going to let you have a chapter on the island?

Haydn:Yes. Holy cow. I think I’m in shock.

Lia:It’s going to be amazing.

Four months later:

Bennett:I heard your song on the radio!!!!!!

Bennett:It’s soooooo good. I can’t believe I know you.

Lia:Thanks, Ben.

Bennett:I didn’t think it could get any better than when you sang it at the concert, but you’re magic.

Lia:The island is magic. I just happened to be lucky enough to get inspired while I was there.

Bennett:Tell Haydn I said hello!

Lia:He says hello back. And that you can text him too.

Bennett:Ever since he got to Tennessee he hasn’t been returning my texts. It’s like he’s busy or something :) Are you two having fun?

Lia:Eh, it’s okay, I guess.

Lia:hahahaha, just kidding. Haydn was reading over my shoulder and I was messing with him. I’m having the best time with him here. The Best.

Five months later:

Lia:It wasn’t long enough.

Haydn:It never is. Leaving you was nearly impossible.
