Then I felt nothing, and air came back into my lungs. Bolt howled in my head. I screamed, “NO!” I ripped my shirt off and shifted. Bolt and I tried to ram through the invisible barrier holding us back from leaving the room.

I just kept repeating to myself that she’s not dead. I only relaxed when I felt a little thrum in my chest. It was Lexi. I shifted back and cried. Alpha Eric put a hand on my back, “She’s not dead, Alpha Chase. Haley has her and she assures me they are fine now.”

Aiden said, “They are in Faerie.” Alpha Eric and I both growled. Aiden snapped and I had clothes on. Eric snarled, “WHAT THE FUCK ARE THEY DOING THERE?” Ted answered, “The former Fairy Queen's protection of Lexi pulled her there. Didn’t it?” Aiden answered, “Very good TeleTed. Such a fun name you have.”

I shouted, “WHAT IS HAPPENING TO MY MATE?!” Aiden sighed, “The magic my mother granted Lexi protects her. It’s very strong. She must have been injured badly and the magic started to bring her to our healing waters before Haley had begun to heal her. They both got pulled through.”

Bolt linked me, “That doesn’t sound terrible. I like the words about healing.” Agreed. Lexi was feeling stronger in my chest. Luna Emmaline was sobbing, and Alpha Lucas was in front of her trying to convince her not to turn to water.

Aiden warned, “You have another problem. Rather Alpha Sophia does because….” James burst into the room, “I found him, Jasper. Heath is here. You go get that fucking bitch!” Aiden sighed, “Oh for crying out loud with the interruptions! I give up. This is on all of you, I tried. I did.” That sounded ominous.

Jasper replied on the phone, “I’m closing in on her as we speak.” James hung up. Heath asked, “James? What happened?” A pop sounded behind us, “King Aiden, Haley asked me to bring you….” The fairy stopped and paused.

The pack doctor ran past him to Jenna. Sally asked, “Oscar?” Oscar popped beside Jenna who was still unconscious. He whispered, “What’s wrong with her?” He looked over the rest of her body, and suddenly his gaze turned murderous. He demanded to know, “WHO DID THIS TO HER?”

King Aiden groaned, “ANOTHER ONE? Fairy goddess Azoney, WHY dear god WHY are all the partial fairy’s being mated with wolves? I’m being so nice right now, and I’m being tested.” Matt growled, “WHAT?!”

Isaac growled at Oscar, but he didn’t pay any attention. King Aiden warned, “Do not growl at my cousin. I’m not in the mood, wolves.” His cousin?! Jesus Christ Almighty. Dylan whispered, “This is the most dramatic meeting OF ALL TIME!” I was certain he was right.

Oscar looked at his hands and focused on the small cuts on Jenna’s body. It took him fifteen minutes, but he healed them. Isaac looked at Oscar in surprise. He asked, “Why isn’t she waking up?” Oscar looked defeated, “I can’t heal like the Princess. Something is wrong with her head. I can’t fix it; I just know it hurts her.” He hung his head in shame, “I cannot fit that, but I eased her pain.”

Aiden touched him, “The cuts are a good thing to heal, Oscar. Her wolf will be able to focus and solely heal her head. Your mate will be fine.” Oscar snapped his fingers and Jenna was in clean clothes. He tucked her hair behind her ear, out of her face, saying, “She’s beautiful.”

The pack doctor, Ethan, announced, “Should the Luna not get here before then Jenna will be fine in an hour or so.” Oscar went into a rage, “AN HOUR?! I WANT TO KNOW WHO DID THIS?” A trash can briefly caught fire before Luna Emmaline used the water cooler to put it out.

James answered, “Wow. Ok, this is crazy. I’m really upset with all the adults we didn’t know you guys before now. I already was, but this stuff… Is this normal to you all?” Dylan answered, “It is now. We welcome the partial fairies. Would you like someone popcorn?” He shrugged, “Sure.”

Oscar yelled again, “Who did this to her?!” James answered, “Someone named Gamma McCann. I had a go at him myself. He’s not in great shape,” I growled, “Excuse me?” Oscar hissed, “WHO IS THAT?” James answered, “A werewolf who is currently unable to extricate himself from the earth.”

I yelled, “WHAT?” James explained, “The Fairy Hackura Princess that clearly loves my cousin, who is terrifying and I’m going to need Lexi or Heath to tell her I had nothing to do with our family shit, trapped him in the earth. It was amazing and terrifying.”

Alpha Eric concluded, “She punched you, didn’t she? She gave you that black eye.” James admitted, “Yes, she punched me so hard. Who taught her to hit like that?” Bjourn answered, “I did.” James nodded, “Sure, well whoever you are good job. Kudos to you. I think I have a concussion.”

Bjourn laughed, “I am Crown Prince Bjourn Cambridge.” James asked, “No shit?” Bjourn frowned, “Why would I lie? Anyone who lied and said they were me would die shortly after the words left their mouth.” James nodded, “Right on.”

It was my turn to demand answers, “WHAT is happening in my territory? WHERE is Gamma McCann?” James explained, “Your stepmom is in charge at the moment. Fine woman you’ve got there, Former Alpha Frank. Lexi dove in front of Reagan Daniels…”

I rubbed my temples interrupting, “How the hell did they get my sister-in-law? She’s in heat! Where’s my brother?” James frowned, “I guess witches used some levitating thing to get her out of the fairy house no one can see, but everyone swears is there. Your brother hadn’t closed the front door to the fairy protected house. At least I believe that’s what he called it. He was fighting with your pack. He only had a few minutes to get Reagan back to the house to explain that much to me. I cleared his path as emotions were running VERY high.”

I surmised, “So he’s fine. That’s what we are saying.” James nodded, “Yes, he’s fine. Lexi dove in front of Reagan to protect her from Gamma McCann.” He choked up, “He crushed and partially ripped out her throat.”

Heath and I both yelled, “WHERE IS HE?!” James reiterated, “Again he’s stuck in the earth literally. The terrifying Fairy Hackura Princess opened up the earth and it swallowed all the rogues fighting against us. It literally crushed them when she put it all back together. It sounded horrifying. She held Gamma McCann up with the wind or some shit.”

He waved his hand “She crushed his bottom half in the earth. She told him she’d be back to deal with him. She was going to heal Lexi first. What’s up with her eyes? Because they weren’t just gold like there were multiple colors. It did not seem natural, and I’ve got to say very magical.”

Aiden scoffed, “I’ve tried to explain her eyes several times.” James nodded, “Ok. Break it down later then, I guess.” Aiden rolled his eyes. James turned to me, “Your people tried to dig him out, but the shovels get thrown violently away, swing back, and hit Gamma McCann in the face. He no longer has a nose. Your pack is kicking his ass though. Your stepmom ordered him guarded so he can’t escape which seems superfluous to me.”

Oscar announced, “I will join them, and he will SUFFER! Your Highness please call the second she opens her beautiful eyes.” Aiden said, “Of course, and like I’ve said you may address me as cousin even in front of other people.” Oscar gave a half smile and popped out.

Alpha Eric growled, “AIDEN HOLLORAN! You can pop out of here?” Aiden smiled, “Not with you, but by myself, yes. Haley and…. Lexi… are no longer in Faerie.” I groaned. Another person who knew about Lexi’s secret. Heath didn’t look happy about that either.

Heath looked at Bjourn, “Please ask Gunner to find her.” Ted was sobbing in Matt’s arms. He told him, “She told me to leave her.” I reasoned, “She would’ve wanted you out of danger.” Luna Emmaline was shaking, I suppose trying not to turn to water. She was beyond hysterical though. Beta Dylan was piling candy in front of her. Alpha Eric said, “Haley said Lexi is physically healed now, Emmaline.”

I couldn’t feel Lexi as well as when she was in this realm but the slight hum in my chest let me know she was there. Aiden cleared his throat, “I’ll try once more to explain about the fiasco that has occurred…” James interrupted, “Wait? How do you know my news? I should be the only one who knows.”

King Aiden looked like he wanted to set something on fire. He countered, “How do you know is the better question?” Heath asked, “Know what?” James said, “Lexi knows.” I asked, “She knows what? What do the two of you know?”

To my shock Aiden answered, “Lexi knows about you and Sophia being married. That is what hurt my sister and caused her to go to the ground in pain. This is because of the magic she’s carrying within her right now, she sensed your mate was in intense emotional distress.” Fuck.
