She blushed, “Just come out the door when you’re ready. The twins' nursery is the room across the hall, and where we are getting ready will be on the left.” I said, “Thank you Haley.” She smiled and popped away.
I smiled at Emma, “Your Auntie Haley is amazing. She gets embarrassed when people tell her that sometimes, but she is. She’ll do anything for you. Mommy and Auntie Haley will plan ALL your birthday’s. Everyone will love them, and they will be spectacular.” I fed, rocked, burped her, and headed outside.
Frank was in the room across the hall with Emmett. I walked in announcing, “It’s time for their second nap.” Frank nodded, “I know. She’s even got monitors over here. There’s a man cave/tv room on this floor. She’s something.” I agreed, “She is. I’m surprised you’re not over with the guys at the main house.”
Frank snorted, “I’ll go over to them here in a bit, but I’d rather be with these guys.” I declared, “You are the cutest grandpa of all time.” Frank blushed. I kissed his cheek and turned to leave. I knew the twins were safe with him.
I walked back out and grabbed a plate of Sally’s food. I surmised, “I’m guessing Kyler and Kevin are in the man cave?” Sally answered, “Yes, and I set up food in there for them too.” I said, “You are a gem. Don’t let anyone tell you different.” She laughed.
I asked her, “Where’s your little man?” Sally told me, “My parents came early to see Zach. They are watching him this morning. I’m sure Derrick will grab him for a few moments at some point.” I smiled, “Now we just have to be on Beta Baby watch for Ted, Matt, and Joanie.” Sally laughed, “Derrick and I aren’t preventing.” I gasped, “Oh yeah? Ready to push out more?” She smiled, “Whenever it happens, it happens.” I admitted, “I think I’m going to give it a minute. If I'm going to have ten of them then I’m spacing it out during our long ass lives.” Sally laughed.
Ted had arranged our best makeup, nail, and hair people. Haley still snapped all hers done and just waited for everyone else to be done. The day passed by in a flurry of activity. Before I knew it, it was time to get into my dress.
I looked at Haley. “Can you snap me into the ceremony dress?” Haley smiled, dragged me to the mirror, then snapped me into the first dress. I had my hair all on one side, and it looked perfect. My dress was long sleeved, but they were sheer. They had a black design on top with a black overlay. The underneath was an ivory color. It was fitted until my thigh, then flared out.
Everyone gasped. Susie said, “You look beautiful.” I smiled, “Thank you! Are you ready to be the best flower girl with Emma?” Susie smiled, “Yup!” She skipped away. Nadine laughed, “You know our mates are going to flip out about these dresses?” I winked admitting, “I did think that was a possibility.”
Haley snapped them into their dresses and Ted into his green tux. The girls were in a lace corset type top that was black. From the waist it became a green, loose fitted satin flowy skirt that had a slit up the front stopping at the thigh.
Ted cat called, “DAMN my girls and I look HOT!” I agreed, “You guys do look great!” Reagan chuckled, “My boobs are WAY saying hello.” I laughed, “Cameron might put you into labor the way you look.” Reagan cheered, “BRING IT ON! Let’s go see them right now.” I laughed. Haley said, “It’s time to go down anyway. We are coming down onto the balcony and then standing on the stairs.” I squealed, “WE ARE WALKING ON THE PEMBERLEY BALCONY!”
Heath laughed, “All the wolves heard that, Lex. Actually, everyone. Enhanced hearing was not needed for that screech.” I turned. Heath had tears in his eyes. He said, “You took beautiful, little sister.” I smiled, “Thank you.” He said, “You just need one more thing to make it complete.” I asked, “What?” He took out a beautiful black crown.
I gasped, “Where did you get that?” Heath answered, “Bexley found another one of the keys to get mom and dad’s fairy boxes open. I found the notes dad had that told us what they were. There’s all the information they had on the ring. There was a box though that was for your wedding when you found Chase. Dad always said you were a Princess.” I fanned my face.
He added, “You technically are the Princess of the Hood. He always thought you should have this crown. He had it made specially for you, and it comes with a note.” Tears filled my eyes. Heath put the crown on and gave me the note.
I questioned, “This is waterproof make up, right?” Ted sniffled, “GIRL, you know it. I am always prepared for waterworks.” Heath smiled at me, “You look like the royalty you are.” I smiled and opened my letter.
Lexi,
My beautiful baby girl, I hope I am with you on this special day. If I am not there in person, know that I am watching down from above. I hate that I’m not there to walk you down the aisle. I know you will look stunning no matter the dress you choose. I hope you and mom got to go shopping for it.
I know that your string is a wolf, and I know he’s strong, but don’t forget that so are you. Be his strength in times of need.
A marriage is a partnership. You and your wolf are now a unit. He comes before all. He’s your choice and your partner. Never let anyone come between that.
Enjoy your special day uniting our people with his pack. Changes are coming. I feel that, and I know you and your brother are on the precipice of it all. You both were always so special. Watch out for your brother and your wolf always.
I’m watching over you today. I’m so, SO proud of you. I had this crown made when you were five years old. I always knew black would be your favorite color. You always marched to the beat of your own drum. Never lose that. I love you to the moon and back Lexi.
Dad
Tears streamed down my cheeks. I whispered, “When I was five? He didn’t even know that anything would go wrong then.” Heath said, “He always knew it would suit you one day, and it does.” I smiled and turned to the mirror. Tears filled my eyes again. It was perfect. I turned back to Heath, “He would be so happy you are here to walk me down the aisle.” He told me, “I wouldn’t be anywhere else.” He hugged me and handed me a handkerchief. I laughed, “Who has a handkerchief these days?” Heath winked, “I’m always prepared. I have more in my pocket.”
I smiled and dabbed at my tears and he went over to Allie. I smiled as he put his hand on her bump and whispered in her ear. She blushed. Haley announced, “Let’s get a move on bitches!” She popped everyone downstairs. I heard the music start.
Heath told me, “You’re going to send the wolves into a spiral with those bridesmaid dresses.” I looked up at him innocently, “Who me?” Heath laughed, “You and Haley are two peas in a pod. Let’s get you married.” I bumped his hip, “You’re next. When are you proposing?” Heath replied, “Soon.”
I asked, “You’re just walking around with a ring in your pocket waiting for the perfect moment?” Heath admitted, “Something like that, yes.” I told him, “You are the best big brother. I can’t believe you went to the fairy vault without me.”
Heath told me, “I wouldn’t have if I didn’t know exactly what was there.” I said, “Still, I might have to get you back for that one day.” Heath assured me, “I’ll show you everything later.” I nodded reluctantly, “Then we are good.”
Heath smiled and we walked down the stairs. He said, “I heard there’s a second dress for the reception.” I wiggled my eyebrows announcing, “There is.” Heath laughed, “You had to get in on driving your Alpha insane?” I giggled, “It’s REALLY pretty and I love it.” Heath smiled, “Good.” We got to the door. I whispered, “Pemberley.” Heath confessed, “I can’t believe she pulled this off. It’s truly stunning.” I smiled and the doors opened.
Actual doves flew up before we walked out. Heath whispered, “Doves?” I said, “I didn’t have that.” Ted winked at me. Heath said, “Of course Ted did.” I smiled and locked eyes with Heath. We started to walk forward. I could see everyone standing on the lawn. I turned and saw Chase at the end of the balcony. He smiled at me, then I didn’t see anything else but him.
He took my hand once Heath and I reached him. Heath kissed my forehead and shook Chase’s other hand, then he went to his place on the steps. Chase said, “You look stunning, Sweetheart.” I smiled, “You look pretty fancy yourself.” He smiled broadly. Frank did the wolf portion of the ceremony. I didn’t flinch when my hand was cut to share our blood.
