Another pop sounded that brought King Aiden to our group. His concern was immediate, “Sister?” She said, “These fuckers will see what happens when they come against us, brother. They tried to take him from me so none of them will live. You wanted to show everyone our power. Well, now they get to see it. Let’s go fucking Troll hunting.”

Aiden asked, “Where is my brother-in-law?” Haley replied, “Somewhere safe.” Aiden laughed, “Ok then.” She conjured her swords. She held them out to Aiden. He wiggled his eyebrows, “Oh really?” Haley narrowed her eyes. He chuckled, “Ok then.” He spoke in Fealish and her swords lit up with flames around them.

Matt linked me, “This is bad, but so very cool.” Haley said almost to herself, “Guns have to be taken out first.” She yelled, “NO DAMN WOVLES JOIN THIS FIGHT UNTIL THOSE GUNS ARE GONE! ARE WE CLEAR?”

Beta Dylan yelled on his damn bullhorn, “WE ARE SO CLEAR MY SUPER SPECIAL FUN SIZED NINJA FAIRY GODDESS!” Haley huffed, “We have to wrap this up quickly. My friend Lacy Frost is in labor and she needs her mate.”

Beta Dylan yelled, “SHE’S WHAT?! YOU GUN SHOOTING TURDS! YOU RUINED MY OBSTACLE COURSE! GAP ONLY WENT THROUGH ONE TIME! WHY DO BAD THINGS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME? I’M SO NICE!”

Haley stood yelling, “I know you’re here, you fucking Troll. You’re mine!” I asked no one in particular, “How does she know that?” No one answered even though I’d basically asked the whole group. Bolt said, “At least it’s not just us that doesn’t know the answer.” True.

Haley almost seemed to glow herself as she shouted, “WHICH ONE OF YOU DEAD MOTHER FUCKERS SHOT MY HUSBAND?” Someone stepped out of the tree line. They seemed compelled to walk out and were clearly confused by their actions.

The man answered, “I did.” Haley hissed, “FUCKING WARLOCKS WARTS!” Bjourn said, “And her last tether to reality is gone.” Marcus retorted, “It was gone already. We need Eric back.” I asked, “Why?”

Aiden chuckled, “You all need to calm down. You are about to see something amazing. Sit back and be amazed” Bjourn explained, “We can’t stop her, Alpha Chase. She’s too angry. Only Eric can stop her now. We need him back.” Aiden asked, “What exactly happened?” No one answered him until Oscar spoke in hushed tone. Aiden blew out a breath and looked at Haley with concern.

A portal open and King Titus walked through with the other Prince’s. Haley screamed out a war cry and ran at the warlock who’d admitted to shooting Alpha Eric. The trees began to splinter. It seemed the trees were responding to her anger.

For his part, the warlock seemed paralyzed. Oscar called the wind. Aiden complimented him, “Very good, Oscar!” Aiden’s call to the wind was stronger and seemed specific to the guns. Haley flicked her hand. She’d conjured all the guns to her Hackura brothers.

Rogues began to emerge. Aiden popped to stand with Haley, being sure to watch her back. Bjourn, Marcus, and Harper took off towards her. She wasn’t stopping though. She was killing everything in her way. She was laser focused. I linked, “WARRIORS WE HAVE ROGUES IN THE TERRITORY! THE GUNS HAVE BEEN TAKEN OUT! GO!”

I linked Sophia, “Eddie has to be here or at your pack. You have to go!” Sophia shifted and I followed suit. She linked me, “We stand together. He won’t keep my pack if he’s there. We will take it back. I linked everyone to get to the panic room when I heard the first shot. My place is here. My warriors are on the way. The rest will guard the borders. They will link me if we get attacked too.” I nodded and we ran into battle.

TeleTed’s Trolley

Lexi and Haley popped outside to Eric and Chase. He had me in his arms in seconds. I mentally rolled my eyes at him. I’d been gone for ten minutes tops, and he and Eric acted like it had been a day or something. Possessive wolves.

We stayed there talking. Mostly because I wanted to make sure Haley really was alright. Eric nodded to me subtly and I smiled at him. He was letting me know that she felt alright in their Hackura bond. He really was great for her and with her.

The Fairy Goddess had finally done right by Haley with her mate. That bitch and I would have words if we ever met. She should’ve helped Haley as a child. Chase dropped the bomb about Noah being the product of Hanson and Betty, and that was just one step past crazy town. I shuddered thanking every god and goddess for the fact he wasn’t related to ME. We spoke a little more, and then Haley popped home with Eric. Once we left and returned home, Chase carried me upstairs, and we fell asleep.

When I woke up the next day, I went off in search of Noel and Edgar. I found Kincade standing there the second I opened my door. I frowned asking, “Have you slept yet?” Kincade answered, “Yes.” I pressed, “Have you seen Carry?” Kincade looked sad, “She was asleep when I left.” I sighed, “Where’s Noel?” Kincade led me down one floor and pointed out which door was Noel’s.

They’d put Edgar across the hall. I linked Carry, “Carry?” She answered, “Yes, Lexi.” I said, “Come up to the main house and spend some time with Kincade. He looks like he needs some Carry time.” She giggled, “I’m on the way.”

I smiled at Kincade and knocked on Noel’s door. I heard him ask, “Who is it?” I answered, “It’s Lexi.” He said, “Oh, come in.” I walked into the room. He was sitting on one of the comfy chairs in his room looking out the window.

I sat down asking, “How are you doing?” Noel admitted, “Oddly, I’m ok. I’ve never felt like I belonged with my mom or my brother. If I can call them that.” I winced, “Noah is actually your half-brother.” Noel frowned asking, “How would...? Oh…. Ew!” I winced, “Yeah….”

Noel said, “That man is not my father. He’s a sperm donor and Noah is not my brother.” I agreed, “Ok.” Noel huffed, “Poor dad.” I told him, “He’s here and he wants to see you.” Noel’s eyes widened, “He’s here? He knows?” I nodded, “Yes, and he’s worried about you.”

Noel teared up, “He’s my dad. I can’t hear him say he doesn’t want me. Mom was never my mom but dad, he was different.” I took his hand, “He won’t say that. I promise you. He stood downstairs and shouted the DNA be damned because you are his son.” Noel burst into tears, “Really?” I nodded, “Really.” I held him while he cried it out. He eventually asked, “Could you go get him?” I nodded.

I walked out into the hall where Kincade and Carry were holding onto each other. I said, “Kincade, I’m not leaving the house today. Kevin can handle guarding me. Go spend a few hours with Carry. I’ll link you if my plans change.” Kincade looked hesitant. I sighed, “As your Luna….” Kincade held up his hands, “Alright, alright, we’re going.” I winked at Carry.

They made their way downstairs and I went and knocked on Edgar’s door. He opened it immediately. I said, “Your son wants to see you.” He pushed past me and ran through Noel’s door I’d left open. I walked back into the room and shut the door behind me.

I sat on the bed and Edgar held Noel and cried. He said, “I’m so sorry, my boy.” Noel said, “It hurts dad, everything hurts.” Edgar rubbed his back, “I know.” They held onto each other. I wiped a few sympathy tears away. Damn hormones.

When they finally pulled back Edgar assured him, “Noel, no matter what you are and will always be MY son.” Noel said, “Good. I want nothing to do with the sperm donor. I just want to meet my mom. I didn’t get the impression she wanted to give me up.”

Edgar admitted, “Knowing Lizzy, she didn’t. She’s a force of nature, not unlike you. You have so much of her in you. I’ve looked for her, truly I have. I went to Lexi’s parents and told them I thought she was alive. You mom, I mean Denise, was the one who was with her on the mission. She said Lexi’s Uncle, Jordan Scott, killed Lizzy. Her family didn’t believe it, and Lexi’s dad banished them from our Shroud.”

Noel said, “It must have been hard for you to go to James and say you didn’t think Lizzy was dead. Was I the reason?” Edgar admitted, “Yes, I had no intention of not being your father. I hoped…. I hoped Lizzy had run off with Hanson and maybe faked her death. In the back of my mind, I knew that wasn’t true. Hanson was crazy about Allison and apparently your mother. Lizzy always wanted to be a mother. I knew she’d never give you up.” Noel said, “We can just move forward now, together.”

Kevin linked me, “There’s a Charlotte here to see you.” I opened the door, “I’ll be back.” I walked downstairs. Charlotte was waiting outside in the doorway with a present in her hands. I laughed, “Charlotte come inside.” She nodded and flashed inside.
