Derrick said, “My mate is the goddess of the kitchen.” I grabbed a plate and took a bite. I moaned, “She is. Eric’s got a goddess, and so do you. She’s the goddess of the kitchen.” Eric asked, “What?” I said, “Come on, Beta Dylan is right. Your mate IS a goddess. She even has wings and she’s part of some super special fairy family.”

Eric groaned, “Don’t remind me. I’ve killed a shit ton more fairies since that came out.” I questioned, “Aiden doesn’t care?” Eric explained, “Not all the Fae want the promised family to rule. I don’t kill people on his side. I essentially help him stop uprisings before they start.” I offered, “We’d help you with the Fae if you need it. The bad ones I mean.” Eric told me, “If you find a fairy on your border you don’t know, lock them up, chain them in iron, and ask questions later.”

I pointed out, “Oscar is looking for siblings.” Eric asked, “Why would they look for him though?” I agreed, “Valid point.” I heard Lexi scream about getting married at Pemberley. My dad linked me, “Well, if the pack wasn’t awake yet they are now.” I asked, “Is there any chance you could swing by with the twins?”

My dad walked in the front door calling, “I thought you might want to see them.” He handed me Emma. I cooed, “Good morning, Princess.” A pop sounded. Eric also cooed, “Good morning, Princess.” She giggled. Eric said, “I bet your grandpa Titus is worried.” She sighed and popped away.

Another pop sounded. Eric said, “Are we doing roll call, Alexander?” The pup laughed then popped away and one more sounded. Eric chuckled, “EJ. Good morning, son.” He giggled and popped away. I greeted my son, “Good morning, Emmett.” He cooed back at me.

Eric’s phone rang. He answered, “Good morning, Titus. They should have popped back by now. Yup. All three of them. You got them? Good.” He hung up. I asked, “Do you have a phone tree?” Eric admitted, “We do. I’m called first if Cassie pops away from someone.”

My dad snorted, “Phone tree? That’s your question son? He called a King by his first name.” I said, “It’s his father-in-law. It would be a bad sign if he said good morning, King Titus.” Heath came in. He walked up and hugged a startled Eric.

Eric huffed, “Uhh Good morning, Heath Scott.” Matt gently pulled Heath back. Heath wiped his eyes. He said, “I can’t hug your mate so I’m hugging you. Lexi always wanted to be married at Pemberley. It’s amazing. I’ve always known she was a different type of fairy. It’s just astounding sometimes.” I asked, “Did you just get here?” Heath answered, “No, I dropped Allie off and went to do a few things back in the Shroud.” I nodded.

The day flew by. We had a couple glasses of whiskey and watched movies. Derrick snuck away to see Zach a few times. Before I knew it was time to get into my tux. I smiled as I put on my suit. I walked over without our group to the venue.

Beta Dylan saw Heath and zeroed in on him. He said, “Ahhh just the man I wanted to see. When are the Hood members arriving? I have unmated people here and I need a holf.” Heath assured him, “They’ll be here any minute.” The doors to the balcony flew open.

Kevin and Kyler jumped off the balcony as I heard two gasps. Both Kyler and Kevin growled, “MINE!” A lady who was clearly one of the girl’s mother squealed, “YAY!” I linked Matt, “Who are those girls? Tell me we aren’t losing Lexi or Emma’s guard.” Matt answered, “They are Omega’s from Red Run. We won’t lose them.” I sighed in relief.

I linked Kyler and Kevin, “You can take your mates back to your places. I’ll have temporary guards on Emma and Lexi until you are back.” They both turned and said out loud, “Thank you, Alpha.” They took off with the girls.

Alpha Kyle came over smiling, “Those are two great girls you’ll be taking from me. Daisy will be ecstatic to work with Sally. She’s been trying to come up with a plan to apply for her catering company. The drive is the problem.” Derrick said, “She has some openings in her company right now. I’m sure Daisy will fit right in.”

Kincade questioned, “Which one is Daisy?” Alpha Kyle answered, “She was the blonde.” I said, “She’s Kyler’s mate then.” Kincade asked, “Who’s the other one?” Alpha Kyle told him, “Sadie. I think she’ll end up being a good warrior. She’s been practicing on the down low. She doesn’t think I know.” Kincade nodded, “I’ll work with her.” Carry walked up, “Me too! I’ll work with both of them.” Alpha Kyle smiled, “They both have taken the self-defense training. Both were eager to take the class up when we started it.”

I heard another growl, “MINE!” I turned to see an Omega male run to a girl. She whispered, “It’s you.” Dylan squealed, “YES!!!! HOLVES ARE COMING! HOLVES ARE COMING, LUCAS!” I heard several more mine’s and it’s you. I said, “The old pack house is empty feel free to….” Several couples took off. I finished, “Use it.”

Beta Dylan came prancing over. He asked, “Wanna know my Hood’s name?” I didn’t get to answer before he said, “Twist my arm you guys. I’ll tell you, it’s Mischa. Mischa is moving to our pack.” Heath said, “They could…”

Beta Dylan interrupted, “Don’t you have a bride to walk down the aisle scary quiet Hood man? THAT is the creepy ninja assassin’s job to be so quiet and sneak up on people. You can’t have it too. DON’T YOU TRY TO TAKE MY HOLVES FROM ME! Take the one Alpha Kyle got. Mischa is OURS! LUCAS! PROTECT OUR SOON TO BE PACK MEMBER! I’ll fight you for her scary silent Hood man! I’ll do it.” I laughed.

Heath said, “That’s not necessary.” Dylan muttered, “Thank the Moon Goddess, you’re so damn fast.” Alpha Lucas came over. Dylan sang, “We have holves and the SGAP has none!” Alpha Lucas laughed. Just then a wolf came running in the direction of our border with Eric. Dylan bemoaned, “AWW NO! BAD WOLF! Crossing the boundary line without permission! NO HOLF COUPLES FOR SGAP! Get him Alpha Baby Daddy! He crossed your border without permission, he's a very BADDDDD wolf!”

Bexley snapped the wolf clothes when he shifted. Carry called, “Jerry?” He growled, “MINE!” Beta Dylan chastised the man, “BAD JERRY! You go back home right now! NO HOLVES FOR YOU!” I linked Matt, “Is that Jerry Henderson? Carry’s brother?” Matt replied, “That’s him.”

He ran over to a girl who cried. She said, “It’s finally you.” I asked, “How old is he?” Matt recalled, “He’s twenty-four. Second oldest of the group.” Carry squeezed Kincade’s hand then released it to clap. I said, “Jerry, the old pack house is open…” Jerry grabbed the girl and ran off before I could finish.

I asked, “Why do I bother to try and finish that sentence?” Dylan sighed, “Alpha’s, man. You have to keep the pertinent information until the end of the sentence if you want to finish. He heard the words empty pack house and his wolf screamed MATE! He’s gone. Let this one go, Alpha Baby Daddy.”

He patted my face and said in a baby tone, “Don’t you worry Beta Dylan and Beta Mattie are here for you, Alpha Baby Daddy.” I rolled my eyes. Matt linked the pack, “DO NOT CALL ME BETA MATTIE.” Everyone answered, “Yes, Beta Matt.” Oscar pouted, “Aww come on, Mattie!” Matt growled.

Beta Dylan said, “Touchy. Cheer up, Beta Mattie! Your Alpha marries his Luna today and I am getting holves!” Matt spat back, “So is Alpha Eric.” Beta Dylan sighed, “We’ll overlook that for now. He gets everything. Who’s surprised he gets holves too? And his name is Saint God Alpha Prick or SGAP for short. Don’t confuse the man with this Alpha Eric nonsense. This is a Beta McAlister situation all over again.”

I interjected, “I’m getting married, so you’ll have to give me a new nickname.” Beta Dylan tisked his tongue, “Aww you sweet naive Alpha baby Daddy. All nicknames are final. Now you can still elevate levels like SGAP, but who wants to reach his level of audacity?” I laughed. Heath nodded to me and went inside. I heard Lexi scream she was going to walk on the Pemberley balcony.

Beta Dylan said, “There’s someone who can get on my level of excitement about my holf couple who will one day give me holves.” I agreed, “Maybe later when she finds out. Did you happen to notice how many people found their mates?” Dylan answered, “Why yes, Alpha Baby Daddy, I did. Beta Dylan was on mate watch. Your pack took the most from Alpha Kyle’s Omega group. One from ours. There is one couple that ran off from your pack and Alpha Kyle’s not sure who’s going to be moving with those two. The other’s I know the answer.” Ok.

He continued, “There was of course the holf couple for me. A holf couple for Alpha Kyle. Sadly, to all our chagrin I had only had one brief SHINING moment of triumph of having something SGAP didn’t before Jerry ran over to claim his Hood mate giving SGAP holves. His title needs to stop growing. It’s so time consuming to even say the abbreviation. He’s going to INVENT levels to his title, I just feel it.” Alpha Eric blew out a breath.

Beta Dylan sighed, “Anyway that last minute crossing the border illegally brought the mate total up to Fifteen. Out of Twenty-one counting the late run in, whom you feel free to deal with in your own way.” He whispered, “I would throw him in the dungeon for an hour just for funsies.” Louder he said, “Your wedding has a stellar batting average. You’d be the most sought after baseball star in the majors.”

I laughed asking, “Alpha Lucas, do you just laugh all day at his colorful commentary?” Alpha Lucas admitted, “Most days.” Beta Dylan said, “Even when he’s being a sleep tyrant he laughs at my hilarity.” Alpha Lucas snorted. Beta Dylan said, “It’s sad when you think about it, Lucas. Little Finn lets me sleep more than you do sometimes.” I asked, “Where is the little guy?”

Beta Dylan explained, “My Lacy can’t bear to part from the little tyke just yet. She was all dressed up and everything. I told her not to worry about me. I’d bring her home a holf couple. Now Mischa has proved I’m not a liar since we ran off the scary Hood man trying to snatch them back. I can go home with my head held high, returning to my mate victorious. I’m on the lookout though. Mischa and Harrison will be running on home after they’ve mated. Beta Dylan is on the case Lucas! Nary a creature on this earth will steal our holf couple!” Alpha Lucas replied, “Good. I was worried.”

Cameron said, “As fun as this is, we gotta get up there big brother.” I laughed and we made our way up to the balcony. The guys met the girls at the door, to walk them down to join us on the steps. Before I knew it, Lexi was there. Doves flew up before her entrance and she appeared like a goddess. Maybe there were three goddesses among us.
