I rolled up onto my feet as he growled. I challenged him, “Come at me, Alpha.” Chase growled, “Lexi…” I interrupted, “For fun!” Chase growled again and charged me. I flashed behind him taunting, “Uh, uh, you gotta be faster than that.” I jumped on his back and bit his mark then flashed away from him. He warned me, “I’m going to catch you.” I replied, “I’m counting on it.”

I began to dart around the gym. Chase eventually started anticipating my moves. He pinned me down and ripped off my top before I got away. I was cackling as he muttered about me running around topless. I yelled, “You do it all the time!” He argued, “THAT’S DIFFERENT!” I agreed, “It is. I’m not outside, and no one else is here.” He grumbled.

Eventually he caught me again. I wrapped my legs around his hips and flipped us. He pinned me back underneath him. I caught him off guard when I began to rock my hips back and forth, flipping us again. He growled and pinned me. He put both my hands above my head and grabbed them with one of his.

He growled in my ear and my breath caught. It was so sexy. He said, “You’ve been very naughty.” I apologized innocently, “I’m sorry, Alpha.” He chuckled, “I don’t think you are. I think you hang around your little fairy sister then you enjoy being naughty. Don’t you?” I smiled, “Yes, Alpha.” He snorted, “You test my limits, Sweetheart.” I replied, “Limits were made to be tested.” He laughed now, “Maybe so.”

By the time we were done the gym was a bit of a mess. I said, “You might have to ask Oscar to fix this.” Chase admitted, “Good idea. I was going to have Matt order new things.” I changed the subject asking, “Do you have clothes for me? You destroyed mine.” Chase said, “Wait right here.” He ran back to an office, presumably his, and came back with a shirt and shorts for me. He had shorts for himself as well. I smiled, “Handy.”

The next day flew by. When we went to bed Chase kissed me, “You’ll be Mrs. Chase Daniels tomorrow.” I smiled, “So I will be. We will have the cutest ring bearer and flower girls of all time.” Chase smiled, “No one can argue that.”

Reagan cleared her throat, “He’s gotta go to the new house. No seeing the bride on the day of the wedding.” I snorted, “We don’t abide by that in the Shroud.” Reagan said, “Out here, we do.” I said, “Alright I suppose.” Chase growled, “Not alright. Her people don’t do it.” Reagan ordered, “Get your ass to the new house, Chase. She’ll join you tomorrow. Plus, you can FINALLY see the venue they’ve conjured.”

Chase mumbled, “I’ve been busy.” Reagan rolled her eyes, “Too busy to see a giant building on your territory? Cameron and I moved to the new house already.” Chase said, “You’re just cranky because your little pup is overdue.” She sighed, “Maybe.” I told her, “I just wanted to get through the wedding before we moved in.”

Reagan smiled at me, “That’s perfectly reasonable.” She turned serious, “Chase, hup to. My pregnant ass wants to get in bed.” Oscar popped in, “Luna Reagan summoned me, and I am at your service.” Reagan smiled asking him, “Can you pop Chase and I to the new house?” Oscar agreed, “Of course. Let’s go Alpha man.” Chase gave me a lingering kiss until Reagan cleared her throat. He said, “I’ll see you tomorrow.” I teased, “I’ll be the one in a fancy dress.” Chase laughed, “Until then.” He was popped out.

I heard rustling downstairs. I grabbed a bow out of the closet and flashed downstairs. I clung to the shadows, notching an arrow. I came into the kitchen and dropped the bow. Frank whirled around clutching his chest. He questioned, “Are you trying to give me a heart attack?” I yelled, “ME? You don’t live here anymore! I didn’t think anyone was here!” Frank laughed, “I’m here because…. Well, I can’t have you be here alone.” I muttered, “You could.”

Kevin’s voice came from the den, “I’m here.” Kyler yelled, “Me too!” I snorted and flashed to them asking, “What are you guys doing here?” Kyler answered, “I’m your permanent guard. Where you go my Luna, I go. Kincade thought you’d be more likely to tell me if you were going to disappear on me.” I laughed, “Alrighty then. Kevin?” Kevin replied, “I’m Emma’s guard. She’s here, so I’m here.”

I sighed, “Keeping it in the family I see.” Kyler and Kevin high fived. Kyler said, “But seriously, it’s a big honor to be trusted by the lead warrior and the Alpha with this job. I didn’t even know my big brother thought so highly of me.” I laughed, “You had to know.”

Kyler disagreed, “Kincade is only mushy with Carry. He’s usually very stoic.” I argued, “I have not seen that stoic side of him often.” Kevin said, “We have.” I sighed, “Well, take a bedroom when you go to sleep, will you?” Kyler agreed, “Whatever the Luna says.”

I reiterated, “Lexi. You still call me Lexi.” Kyler teased, “Aye, Aye Lexi.” I laughed, “At least we will have fun together.” Kyler joked, “The things we will get into Lexi Scott soon to be Daniels.” I changed the subject, “Have you seen the new venue?” Kyler snorted, “Seen it? I have studied it. I have studied all the new buildings for points I could escape with you if we needed to. I’d say hide you, but something tells me you’d smack me for that.” I agreed, “Yes, I would.”

Kyler added, “I’ve also studied the points of entry someone could use to get in if they were VERY determined.” I offered, “I see why Kincade has faith in you, Kyler.” Kyler grinned. I said, “I’m off to bed. If you both are guarding Emma and I while we get ready tomorrow make sure to get food from whatever Sally is providing.” Kyler and Kevin high fived again. Kyler yelled, “Best gig ever! We get Sally food the whole day! Plus, we will be involved in whatever Alpha Eric’s Princess Luna comes up with. It’s going to be great.” I laughed and went upstairs.

I walked into my closet and looked at my wedding and reception dresses. I couldn’t wait to marry Chase. I woke up at ten thirty and stretched. It had been a long time since I slept this late. Frank must have taken the monitor out of my room.

I linked him, “You have the twins, don’t you?” Frank responded, “Does the sun rise in the east?” I laughed, “Just making sure.” I realized I was not alone. I turned and greeted, “Hi, Haley.” She sat up opening her eyes. She replied, “Hello yourself, you’re the bride!” I laughed agreeing, “I am.”

Haley told me, “I’ve already snapped all your stuff and mine to the venue. We are going to pop close to it and walk there.” I was confused so I asked, “We aren’t just popping inside?” Haley admitted, “Well, I want you to see it from the outside.” I agreed, “Alright, show me what you’ve done.” Haley smiled and snapped her fingers.

I looked down to see what I was wearing. It was in a black button up shirt pajama set with white accents and shorts. Haley was pajamas too, a green tank top trimmed with lace and shorts. I teased, “No pink?” Haley retorted, “You’re the one who picked green.” I laughed saying, “Which you look fabulous in.” Haley smiled, “Eric’s going to lose his SHIT about the bridesmaid dress.” I grinned, “I abided by his slit rule.” She laughed, “You did, and I’m VERY much looking forward to him losing his shit about said dress.”

I admitted, “I’m looking forward to Chase losing it about the reception dress.” Haley squealed and clapped, “HE WILL! It will just be all the Alpha’s losing their damn shit all over the place.” I laughed and flipped my hair, “Just call me Lexi Scott, Queen of driving Alpha’s mad.” Haley curtsied to me.

I clapped excitedly, “Alright pop us so we can walk up to the venue.” We popped into a field and walked out of tree cover. I stopped almost immediately as tears filled my eyes. I saw the pond and the fountain before I saw the house. A few tears escaped my eyes. I turned to her, “You conjured thePride and Prejudicehouse for my wedding? I’m getting married at Pemberley?!”

Haley squealed, “You’re getting married at Pemberley, Lex!” She paused then added, “Well, the inside isn’t the fucking same. It’s a ballroom. The second floor is a massive preparation area with bedrooms.” I hugged her, “It’s Pemberley! I love that movie!” Haley smiled, “I know.” I saw the chairs set up outside.

I squealed, “I AM GETTING MARRIED ON THE BALCONY AT PEMBERLEY! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?! This was my dream!” Haley blushed, “Well the Alpha’s are all about getting married on their pack lands so popping us all there was out. So, with Bexley’s help I brought Pemberley to you.” I hugged her, “Get us inside!” Haley laughed and popped us to the second floor.

Ted, Sally, Allie, Reagan, Nadine, and Susie were all waiting. I squealed, “PEMBERLEY?!” Ted fanned his face admitting, “I won’t lie, I teared up when I saw what they were conjuring. I knew my girl would be a mess over it.”

Sally hugged me agreeing, “It’s perfect. It was the only thing missing from your planning binder.” Allie told me, “Heath cried when he saw it this morning. He was so happy for you.” I smiled, “I can’t believe it you guys, this is perfect!” I looked around the area.

There were chandeliers and sofas for people to sit on. There was a giant mirror by the window with a platform. There were mirrors and a circular sofa for getting ready. I was in awe, “Haley, you and Bexley outdid yourself.” Ted told me, “Wait till you see the ballroom.” I squealed, “Can I?” I ran to the stairs without waiting for an answer.

I came down the stairs and gasped audibly. The floor was granite and there were columns and archways with massive wood doors. I turned on the stairs. I screamed, “HALEY MELODY CONNERS! THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING!” Ted said, “Agreed.” Haley shyly said, “I’m glad you like it.” I scoffed, “Like it? Bitch, I LOVE it! I’m making Chase move in here. I’m never leaving.” Everyone laughed.

Kyler whistled, “The Luna, whom I call Lexi, is right. This place is insane.” Kevin agreed, “It is.” Frank whistled, “I thought it was impressive from the outside. Is anyone going to panic that the decorations aren’t in here?”

Haley snapped and the tables and dance floor along with the DJ booth appeared. Frank said, “Right. Crazy me. Fairy’s just snap things done.” He had both Emma and Emmett with him. I smiled when Emma started to fuss. I said, “I’ll feed her. Can you still watch Emmett?” Frank winked at me teasing, “Try to take him away from me.” I laughed.

Haley popped me to a room. There was a comfy chair and a massive bed. I asked, “What’s this for?” Haley answered, “There are several rooms like this, but this one is yours and Chase’s. Given your reception dress, the crazy Alpha is going to need a place to fuck you senseless. There’s a nursery room too.” I laughed asking, “Seriously? Do you ever not think of everything?” Haley smiled, “I probably miss a few things here or there.” I disagreed, “I don’t think you do.”
