Prince Logan grumbled, “Fabulous. How do we help her NOW? Aiden answered, “Let her anger work itself out.” Prince Marcus snorted, “Seriously? That’s your advice?” Aiden shrugged, “Or you track down her wolf. I warn you though, it will make her angrier at first.”

Jackson yelled, “WHY the FUCK would she be more upset if she saw Eric?” Aiden sighed, “Do wolves not pay attention? Did you not hear her? Beta Dylan, can you help them out?” Beta Dylan answered, “I’ll take he said goodbye to her for five hundred Alex!”

Aiden said, “Other than my name is Aiden, very good Beta Dylan. Haley’s wolf said goodbye to her. She’s VERY upset about it.” Marcus admitted, “It’s going to take him to calm her Hackura side down. We can’t get to her up there to her, only you can.” Aiden smiled, “True.” He made no move to go to her back, like they clearly wanted him to.

Haley let the tornado around Noah die out. Several branches from different trees shot out and grabbed onto his arms and legs. He was now in the same position as the guy who shot Alpha Eric. He screamed in pain, covered in head to toe cuts.

The man who shot Alpha Eric begged for mercy, “JUST KILL ME!” Haley laughed humorlessly, “No, no, no. That would be no fucking fun! You will SUFFER!” He yelled, “WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK I’M DOING NOW? HAVING A PARTY?” Haley frowned, “How the fuck would I know? You won’t die until my oldest brother is through with you.”

The warlock’s eyes shot over to Prince Bjourn who smirked at him. He said, “NO! You can’t give me to Prince Bjourn!” Haley brought lightning down on him again. She flew down to him saying, “I can give you to my fucking brother if I want to and I will. He will make you live in agony as you tried to make me.”

He argued, “I didn’t even aim at him!” Haley snarked, “Do I LOOK like I give a shit?!” She flew away, paused, then flew back to him. She mused, “You bring up an interesting point though warlock wart. I’ll have to ask my brother to make you feel the agony my sister Lexi would’ve felt if you’d shot Chase instead of Eric. So, double the pain for you. Thank you SO damn much for pointing that out.” The guy cried like a newborn pup.

I linked my dad, “I actually find there’s a sliver of myself that feels bad for him.” My dad snorted, “I don’t. Lexi might have felt you dying and gone into labor.” I said, “And just like that, the sliver is gone.” Matt commented, “Damn, just damn.”

Harper and Alpha Eric ran through a portal and through the tornadoes destroying my area. Alpha Eric stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Haley. He pointed asking, “Does she have wings?!” Harper answered, “About that, Haley has wings.” Alpha Eric snorted.

Aiden grumbled, “Not that anyone cares, but so do I.” Alpha Eric raised an eyebrow, “I can see that, Aiden.” Aiden brought his wings back out. Alpha Eric wondrously whispered, “Wow.” He looked back at Haley saying, “My Angel has wings. They are incredible.” Aiden said, “They are fairy wings. She’s not actually an angel.”

Alpha Jackson engulfed Alpha Eric in a hug. He choked out, “Brother.” Alpha Eric hugged him back. He assured him, “I’m fine, Jackson.” He hugged his other brothers. I walked over to him awkwardly saying, “Thank you doesn’t seem enough here, Alpha Eric.”

Alpha Eric shrugged, “What’s a silver bullet laced with wolfsbane among allies? I think we’ve gone to a first name basis, Chase.” I replied, “I’m serious, Eric.” He nodded at me, “You’d have done the same thing.” He was right. I nodded.

I linked Matt, “Order him the best damn whiskey you can find.” Matt replied, “On that.” Eric happily said, “Dylan, your mate is VERY pissed at you.” Alpha Lucas walked over and hugged Eric. Beta Dylan squawked, “ME? What did I do? I’m not a super creepy ninja assassin! I can’t open a portal. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do here. Plus, HALEY HAS WINGS! WINGS PEOPLE! Our super fun special fun sized fairy ninja goddess has emerged from her cocoon and is a beautiful fairy. LOOK AT HER! You elevated to SAINTHOOD! Saint God Alpha Prick is here people!”

Eric responded, “I’m just telling you she’s pissed.” Beta Dylan shrugged nonchalantly, “She’ll be fine once she sees my smiling face.” Alpha Jackson snorted, “Sure, that’s what a woman in labor wants to see.” Beta Dylan preened, “I’m just solving all the world’s problems. I should start charging people. NO, I’ll write a book in my creepy ninja assassin lair.”

Eric said, “I’m going to go talk to my Angel.” Beta Dylan grumbled, “You would. Let me guess he’s about to get wings too.” Aiden said, “He cannot have wings. She’s pissed at you wolf of my sister’s.” Alpha Eric turned in shock to face Aiden.

He questioned, “What did I do?” Aiden groaned, “Goddess above, I’m going to get a sign. You said goodbye to her. As I’ve explained to you, my little sister is quite a sensitive little soul. She also has a fear of bad things happening to anyone who cares for her. Her Hackura family showed her what that love, true love among family was. You showed her the romantic type of love she never thought she’d have. Everyone here heard what she said.” I looked away.

Eric asked in a hard voice, “What did she say?” No one answered him. He growled, “I asked a question.” I had to answer him. I owed him so much more than that. I told him, “She said you were her everything. Aiden pointed out she would die if you did.” Eric paled.

I continued, “She said….” I trailed off. Eric growled, “SHE SAID WHAT?” I looked back at him, cringing, “She said her life means nothing. That it never meant anything.” Eric growled and walked over to Haley.

He shouted, “ANGEL! COME DOWN HERE!” She looked down and came closer to the ground but didn’t come down. Eric asked the group, “Why are her eyes gold, blue, green, with flickers of pink?” Aiden explained, “The green and blue colors are her Fae powers. The gold is her Hackura side. The pink flicker well that’s anyone’s guess. All sides of her are VERY angry so that is reflected in her eyes.” Eric sighed, “Sure.”

He looked back at his mate, “Angel, please.” Haley came down just out of his reach. Noah screamed in pain. Haley flung her hands out and a piece of bark flew out of a tree and pierced his thigh. He screamed again. Haley rolled her eyes.

She huffed in annoyance, “He won’t shut up and take it like a bad ass!” Eric requested, “Angel, please come down to the ground. I’m ok and I’m right here.” Haley stared at him accusingly, “You said goodbye to me. You just accepted that you were dying and leaving me! You said goodbye!”

The lightning and thunder crackled in the sky. Eric explained, “I knew you could heal me, Haley. I just wanted you to know I loved you. It was all that I could think of at the moment. I took that shot and you flashed into my mind.”

Haley conjured a gun and shot the man who had shot Alpha Eric in the ankle. He screamed in pain. Eric asked, “Do you feel better?” Haley turned screaming, “DO I FEEL BETTER?! You would’ve died! NO! I DON’T FEEL BETTER!” She fired her gun and hit the man’s other ankle.

Eric argued, “As you do love being literal, I didn’t die Angel.” It somehow started to rain harder. It was actually starting to hurt when it hit my skin. Haley brought several bolts of lightning down, shocking Noah and the shooter.

Eric sighed, “Please come down to the ground and let me hold you.” Haley was visibly shaking with anger. Eric sadly said, “I feel your anger and your pain, Angel.” Haley brokenly whispered, “I couldn’t breathe. I BARELY got ahold of your pain in time. Why do you want to protect the fucking Troll and the man who shot you?”

Eric explained, “I am not protecting either of them. I’m protecting you. I’m worried about you. You’ve somewhat destroyed this area.” Haley scoffed, “So the fuck what? I can fix it.” She looked around surveying the damage. She huffed, “Well, I can fix it with Aiden.”

Eric reasoned, “Your brothers are worried. You said your life didn’t matter again.” Haley retorted, “Do you think my life matters to me? I would give my life ten times over for you, our children, or any member of my family; even my friends. You almost left me, and you promised me you’d never do that.” Eric frowned saying, “Haley, I cannot control what other people do. I will always do everything in my power not to leave you.” The wind began to blow harder. The ground began to shake. Rocks flew and hit both men that were tied in the trees.

Eric switched tactics, “Lexi deserves to speak to the fucking troll.” Haley argued, “He’s not dead, not yet.” Eric pinched the bridge of his nose, then told her, “Your wings are beautiful.” She smiled a little, “I didn’t know fairies could get wings.” Eric smiled warmly saying, “You do always make the impossible happen. I thought my heart was long gone until you came around. Many people questioned if I had one.”

Beta Dylan jumped up and down squealing, “Oh me! Pick me! He’s our own personal tin man from theWizard of Oz. His love for you is one of his ONLY redeeming qualities, my winged super fun sized ninja fairy goddess.”

Haley flew down closer to Eric. He grabbed her calf and slowly pulled her down into his arms. She grabbed hold of his shirt and sobbed. He consoled her, “Angel, I’m right here and I’ve got you. I’m not leaving you.” She sobbed, “You can’t do that to me. You can’t say goodbye, not you.” Eric teased, “Ok next time I’ll just say hurry up and save my ass.” She laughed.
