Sally fanned herself, “Her husband is hot. I want one that looks like that. Please War Goddess.” I laughed. We went inside and found comfy clothes set out for us. Sally stated, “She just doesn't miss a trick.” I snorted, “She doesn’t.” Sally bit her lip, “I want to stay dressed up because we look hot.” Ted agreed emphatically, “Then that’s what we will do.”

I made us all drinks and we went into the living room to watchJumanji Welcome to the Jungle. We were all laughing. Ted found a drinking game, and that’s how we watched several more movies. When I checked my phone, Chase had finally answered. He’d wondered if I knew how hard he was. I texted back.

Me:You still hard, big boy?

My Guy:“Yes, I’ve taken like three cold showers at your place. I’ll have to pay your water bill this month.

I laughed and went to show Ted, but both he and Sally were asleep. That worked well for me. I ran outside. Kincade came out, “Good lord, you can hold your liquor.” I laughed, “I can. I’m going to see Chase. I’ll be back.” Kevin said, “We will come with you.” I took off running.

I reached my porch and yelled, “SLOW POKES!” I ran inside to find a startled Chase. I jumped on him and kissed him deeply. He pulled back, “Well, hello.” I grabbed his face, “I missed you.” He teased, “Did you?”

I wrapped my legs around him, “Yes! I missed you so so much! Missions are going to suck. Maybe I’ll just skip the planes and run REALLY fast back to you. I’m like super-fast.” Chase laughed, “I have a private plane, it’s always available to you.” I gasped, “How rich are you? Jesus! I mean me and my brother are well off, but not private jet rich. Damn, dude.”

Chase nuzzled my neck, “We are well off, Sweetheart.” I giggled, “I love that you call me that. That’s what my dad called my mom.” Chase smiled, “I’m glad.” I kissed him again. He sat us on the couch, and we made out like teenagers. We were groping each other, but he didn’t take it any further. I joked, “Not into sexy time?” Chase smile at me, “I definitely am. You have no idea how horny you’re making me, but you’ve been drinking. I don’t want you to regret anything with us.” I frowned, “I wouldn’t.”

Chase shrugged, “We can drink together sometime, and if that’s the goal of the evening we can have sexy time.” I pouted, “No fair!” Chase laughed and hit my nose with his index finger, “You’ll be fine.” I rambled, “Someone’s trying to make Heath think our dad is alive. I heard you met him tonight.”

Chase was startled, “Your dad? I didn’t meet your dad.” I swatted his chest playfully, “HEATH! Silly wolf. You met Heath. Well, you met the Hood. You just know it’s Heath, but he doesn’t know that you know that. I don’t think he does anyway. I dunno. He knows lots of stuff all the time.”

Chase said, “I did meet him.” I nodded, “Well, he liked you, I think. We didn’t really get into much, but he did mention it.” Chase seemed to disagree, “We definitely met, and he met Matt too. He liked him.” I snorted, “He demoted the Troll.” Chase laughed, “So now you all call him a Troll?”

I shrugged, “Haley’s always called him a Troll.” Chase asked, “Do you know how big of an insult that is coming from a fairy?” I thought about it, “She did seem to think it was the worst thing she could call him.” Chase laughed, “Because they consider Trolls worse than goblins and they despise goblins. I got reports of you all screaming it among other things running around Ted’s enchanted house. Your guards were sad they couldn’t see it.”

I teased him, “You won’t be. We were in our underwear.” Chase growled, “WHAT?” I nonchalantly explained, “Haley’s rules.” Chase rolled his eyes, “Is that why Alpha Eric was in my territory?” I snorted, “No, you saw her dress in the group photo, right?” Chase admitted, “I didn’t look at anyone but you. You’re captivating.”

I blushed and pulled out my phone. I touched his face, “That’s so insanely adorable. Haley healed Reagan tonight. Cameron texted her multiple times demanding she come home. Haley portaled her home, and Eric was with your brother.” Chase smiled, “She is a very kind person. Cameron and Reagan will be good parents.” I agreed then showed him the group photo.

Chase coughed, “Oh good lord. My brother saw her in that? Shit, I need to make sure Alpha Eric didn’t knock him out cold.” I frowned, “Cameron is definitely fine. Haley said she and Eric could play catch the tipsy fairy.”

Chase stared at me before he started laughing hysterically. He gathered himself enough to ask, “The most feared Alpha in the world is running around the area trying to catch his tipsy fairy?” I nodded and started laughing with him. When I stopped, I admitted, “It sounds silly when you say it that way.”

Chase stated, “This is the best thing I’ve heard all day. I need to get someone to film that.” I frowned, “I doubt they are here anymore.” He smiled, “Yes, but curious teenagers are at my disposal and my biggest ally at the moment.” Huh?

I shrugged that off, “Other than tracking down that bookie guy, what did you do?” Chase looked away, “I questioned a prisoner.” I asked, “Did you get what you needed?” Chase frowned, “Not yet, but I will.” I nodded and grabbed his face and straddled him.

He smiled, “Hello there.” I whispered, “I have a secret.” Chase winked, “I can keep a secret.” I laughed, “Ok, but you can’t tell Chase.” Chase snorted saying nothing. I admitted, “I love him. Chase, I mean. You can’t tell him though because I’m scared. He’s broken down all my walls so fast. He’s invaded every part of me. I need him, but I can’t tell him. So, no telling Chase I love him. Okay?”

Chase stared into my eyes, “I love you so damn much, Lexi Scott.” I giggled, “Our kids will be so cute.” Chase agreed, “They will. We are a damn attractive couple. Do Hood members have human pregnancies?” I shook my head, “Nope.”

Chase waited then asked, “How long are your pregnancies?” I shrugged, “It depends. They can be four to six months. I don’t know of a wolf/Hood couple so I don’t know where we will be. Hood members with other Hood members tend to four months. Hood members with human strings are usually six months. Then those that mix together with other supernatural's tend to be five months. So, who knows? Not I.” Chase laughed, “You’re a cute drunk.”

I waved my hand, “Pshhhh. I’m not drunk.” Chase disagreed, “Sweetheart, you are quite drunk.” I said, “Nah! Hey! I’m hungry! Let’s go get food!” Chase smiled, “How about you change first? Then I’ll drive you to a twenty-four-hour diner around here.”

I ran upstairs and grabbed sweatpants and a shirt for Chase. I came back down and held out my hands. Chase laughed asking, “Yes?” I huffed explaining, “I want your hoodie. You smell so good! Your hoodie will smell like you. So, I brought you a shirt from upstairs.”

Chase laughed and took off his hoodie. He told me, “No need for the shirt, Sweetheart.” He already had a shirt underneath his Hoodie. I sighed, “You’re so hot. WHY are you so hot?” Chase snorted, “Genetics. Let’s go drunkie pants.” I frowned, “I told you I’m not drunk. You’re not remembering things. Are you drunk?”

Chase teased, “Whatever you say drunkie pants. I have not had a single drink tonight.” He led me outside and opened my car door. I sighed dreamily, “You are such a gentleman. I thought those were dead. Or is chivalry that is dead? Whichever it is, it’s obviously not dead because you’re him. Maybe it’s because people don’t know about werewolves. You guys are nice. Eric dotes on Haley, and you dote on me. OH MY GOD! Sally needs a wolf!” Chase smiled at me.

I yelled, “KINCADE! Are you single? I haven’t seen a mark on your neck. My friend Sally is super pretty!” Kincade came out laughing, “I haven’t met my mate yet, Luna Lexi. Sally is pretty, but I’m waiting for my mate.” I groaned, “We’ve been over this call me Lexi. That’s super cute about the mate thing. Mad respect. I was going to do that once upon a time. Things change.”

Kincade raised an eyebrow. I bounced up and down, “Chassseeeee, I’m hungry.” Chase laughed, “Alright.” He shut the car door and talked to Kevin and Kincade then got into the car. I poked his shoulder. He looked over smiling, “Yes?” I kissed his cheek, “I love you.” Chase smiled, “I love you too. It’s a secret though, remember?” I nodded seriously, “It is a secret, and we can’t tell Chase.” I put my finger over my mouth and said, “Shhhh.” Chase laughed and turned on the car.

I gasped, “Hey! How did you know where the keys were?” Chase shot me a look, “They were on the table beside the door in a bowl labeled keys. I did not even need Bolt’s keen observation skills for that one.”

We drove for about fifteen minutes before we got out of the car. When we walked inside everyone stiffened. We sat down and everyone still hadn’t relaxed. I surmised, “You own this place too, don’t you?” Chase wiggled his eyebrows, “I do.” Of course. That’s why they were so on edge. The boss came in.

The waitress came over. She flashed a flirty smile at Chase, but I was not having any of that. I sat back and crossed my arms, “Hey lady, he’s mine! Go get a new waitress. I don’t like you!” Chase laughed and the girl scurried away.
