“Hey, sweetheart. Did you sleep well?”

Celine tilted her head. “I did. Did you?”

“I did. I feel well rested.” He put his hand out toward her. “Come inside.”

She smiled as she took his hand. He pulled her up the steps, kissed her lips, then led her inside. The dogs ran toward her, and she squatted down and pet them.

“Hi, you beautiful babies,” she said, then laughed when each one tried to get closer to her.

“Guys, come on, give her a break,” Killian said, and the dogs sat.

“Do you want to bring some boxes in?”

“I suppose we can start. Creed, Beau, and Luke will be here soon.”

“Are Creed and Beau bringing their wives?”

“Yeah.”

“Is Luke bringing Bryce?”

“As far as I know.”

“I wonder if she’ll bring the baby. I love babies.”

“You do, huh? I’m not sure, but I suspect, no.”

“Oh, well. I’ll see Leah another time.”

“Do you want a cup of coffee or something to drink?”

“No, thanks. I had coffee earlier. I’ll get something later, once we unpack.”

“Alright.”

They stared at each other until a sly smile lifted her lips, making him groan.

“Stop.”

“What?” she asked way too innocently.

“You know what. We don’t have time for that.”

Celine laughed. “Maybe later, then.”

“Definitely later.” He walked toward her, leaned down and kissed her lips. “I missed you last night.”

“I missed you too.”

He pressed his lips to hers again, pulled her tight against and just as he was about to deepen the kiss, he heard vehicles outside. He slowly raised his lips.

“It sounds like the guys are here.”

“They have bad timing,” Celine said, making Killian chuckle.

A knock sounded on the door, and the dogs ran toward it barking. Killian made his way to the door and opened it.

“Hey, come in.” He held the door open wider.
