“Holyshit,”I murmured.
I’d been to my fair share of luxurious hotel rooms, but they were basically all the same. Whether it was the Four Seasons, the Waldorf-Astoria, the Ritz-Carlton, or the St. Regis, they were variations on a theme: boxy, rectangular rooms.
This…
This was something else entirely.
Cat grinned happily. “Did I do good?”
I took her face in my hands.
“You did amazing, baby,” I said right before I kissed her.

Icouldn’t believe my luck: the most luxurious room in Ragusa was available. And since nobody had stayed in it the night before, I was able to pay a little extra and get it at 10 AM.
When the driver brought me down from the city to the hotel room, I was apprehensive. From the outside, it didn’t look likeanyhotel I’d ever seen before, that was for sure.
But when I got inside,it was like a fairy tale.
I literally gasped when I saw it.
Like a magical cave where the princess hides away from the villain, waiting for her prince to find her.
And now my prince was here.
His look of shock and delight when he saw the room was priceless.
“Did I do good?” I asked happily, knowing I had.
He put his hands on both sides of my face and said, “You did amazing, baby.”
And then we kissed.
I melted right then and there.
I’d made up my mind when I walked into this room that I was going to enjoy every second of it. It was too beautiful a place to be unhappy in.
No thoughts about the world outside…
Or things Val might have said a week ago…
Or things that might happen later…
Every second I spent in the room was going to be about joy, and pleasure, and fun.
I swore to myself I would do it –
And the second he kissed me, I literally forgot about everything but him.
Well…
Him and the wine.
I pulled away when he started to undress me. “Wait – there’s champagne!”
