“It didn’t hurt.”

“Give it a few minutes.” He climbed out of bed. I didn’t like how cold I felt every time he walked away from me. He padded across the suite and into the bathroom. A few seconds later, he appeared at the door, gloriously naked, all tanned muscles and long legs. “Take a shower with me.”

I sat up on the mattress, letting my bare feet touch the cold hardwood floors. “Is that an order?”

“Yes.” He crossed his arms over his chest and braced both hands on the threshold—bulging arms calling for me.

Damn him. I could make a point and stay put, but then I wouldn’t get to see him or rub soapy fingers all over him again. Heat rushed through me as I rose to my feet. He chuckled and went back inside.

“Get over yourself. I was already going in to get cleaned up. That’s all.”

A few steps in, I realized Wesley was right about how sore I’d be later. In the bathroom, steam had already gathered on the mirrors and the glass panels. Wesley pushed open the shower door and helped me inside and immediately wrapped his slick body around me.

“How are you feeling?” He kissed my temple.

“I’m fine. A little sore.” I rolled my eyes.

“Warm water should help.” He gripped my shoulder and turned me around to face the showerhead.

The brown tones of the bathroom tile mixed with steam created a reflective surface. I watched my nude body as Wesley poured bodywash into his hands and worked it into a lather. I didn’t look different, though my life had forever changed. Wesley Cole would always be my first.

“What are you thinking?” He pressed his large palm to my belly and moved it in a circular downward motion.

“Us.”

“What about us?” He dipped his hand into my folds, gently soothing me with a steady massage.

I leaned my head on his chest. “Tell me about your first time.”

His laughter rumbled against my back. “It was a bit of a series of unfortunate events. I pretty much came as soon as I put it in.”

“Omigod.” I thought of his restraint from before, how gentle and patient he’d been. “Where did you meet her?”

“A bar in midtown my junior year in high school.” He shifted me to the left to let the warm spray hit my pussy. Like a magnet, his free hand found my breast. He pulled and tweaked until my clit hardened.

“Oh.” I sighed. My soreness had gotten better with his ministrations, but I didn’t think I could go for another round. Could I? “I want you again.” I turned around and cradled his neck.

He shook his head. “I’ll stop. Sorry. You’re just so beautiful, and you feel so good.” He kissed me softly, as if he loved me.

“Did you love her?”

“Who?” He kissed my cheek.

“Your first.”

“I didn’t even get her name. Not one of my best moments.”

“Has it ever been like this for you? Because you rocked my world and I can’t imagine sex getting any better than that.” I ran my fingers down to his stomach.

“No, not like this.” He nibbled my lower lip, then shut off the water. “Come on, time for bed.”

“So bossy.”

“You like it.” He grabbed a towel off the glass panel and wrapped it around me.

What did I ever do to deserve him? To deserve this kind of attention and devotion. Did Wesley love me? I didn’t get a chance to ask any more questions. He ushered me back to the suite and pulled back the duvet. I climbed into the cool sheets. My heart did a quick somersault when he got in right behind me.

“I’m glad it was you.” I rested my head in the nook of his neck and shoulder and fell asleep before he had a chance to answer.
