“That isn’t your locker.”

A devilish grin lifted the ends of his lips and his eyes turned a Nordic to cobalt blue in the blink of an eye.

“It is now, Princess.” His lips crushed mine.

“See you at lunch, baby.” He winked.

God, that man sent butterflies twirling in my belly each time he talked to me in that seductive tone.

“Later,” I purred.

Rocco sauntered down the busy hallway with the other jocks.

“Earth to Ryah.” Genevieve yanked my arm in the opposite direction.

“You look thirsty,” Yareli muttered.

“Can’t look thirsty when the guy you’re banging looks at you the same way. That is in a cool sort of way.” Faith rolled her eyes at Yareli.

“Thank you, Faith.” I strutted down the hall with extra pep in my step.

She looped her arm through mine. “Tell me again why you couldn’t hang with us over the summer?” Faith arched a brow.

In the same breath, Faith turned on me.

Genevieve and Yareli twisted their heads, eagerly awaiting my answer.

This bitch knew exactly why I couldn’t hang out over the summer.

“Faith, cut the shit, you know the answer to that question.”

“I do, but they don’t.”

Wriggling free of her hold, I wrapped my free hand around her neck and slammed her into a nearby locker. “If your father is in the same business as mine, you know I won’t ever say one fucking negative word about my summer.” I quirked a brow.

A wicked smile crossed her pink lips. “There she is. We are indeed cut from the same cloth. I fucking love it. You are the future queen of the Conti’s and I am the future queen of the Jiménez family,” Faith whispered.

Her eyes moved at a rapid pace, back and forth. “Nothing to see here. Just two friends having a disagreement.”

I released her, flashing a quick smile at the crowd that formed before us.

“You heard her. Beat it.”

Faith whipped an arm around my neck. “We’re going to have so much fun together at Princeton.”

My eyes grew in size.

“Sorry, girls. I overstepped. Our friend here is being modest about her summer. You can’t tell us one thing about your trip?”

I laughed. “Just one. The concert on the beach was the highlight of the trip.”

Until I snuck out of the window and ran away to be with my boyfriend.

“Pink sang every song we loved.”

The girls giggled with excitement, holding onto every word.
