Ryah placed her hand against my chest and bit my lower lip. “God, you’re sexy. And all mine,” she moaned.
I’d happily pay for dinner and they could eat without us, but I knew that wasn’t an option.
“Hey guys.” Alejandro threw his hands up as he and Faith approached the table.
Ryah and I stood, greeting them both.
Gwen returned, taking their drink orders.
“Alejandro, are you joining me and the guys this Sunday for a basketball game?” I asked.
“Yeah, I’m up for it.”
We didn’t discuss business too much while we were in public. We saved those conversations for behind closed doors.
“I heard your favorite person will arrive soon,” Alejandro chuckled.
He looked the same, but happier. Probably because he had the woman, he loved at his side. I knew how that felt.
He wore a new scowl on his face. One that men feared. I possessed that same look. Always good for our line of work.
“Speaking of which.”
“Hey, it’s so good to see everyone.” A huge smile crossed Levi’s face.
He wasn’t on the lean side anymore. He was buff. Guess he chose to hit the weights.
“I’d like to introduce everyone to my girlfriend, Sabrina.”
Her caramel face beamed. “Hello, it’s so nice to meet you all. Levi has said great things about you guys. I look forward to getting to know everyone.” She wore a tight, short black cocktail dress, and a pair of red stilettos.
I couldn’t help notice Ryah and Sabrina were close to the same complexion. The shape of their eyes was similar, too. Thank goodness they didn’t have the same type of hair. That would’ve just been obvious.
The motherfucker found a woman who reminded him of mine.
We introduced ourselves to her.
Faith and Ryah were friendly to Sabrina.
Gwen approached and took our orders.
“Levi, how’s the banking business treating you?” I sipped another glass of whiskey.
“Good. They love all my software ideas. They’re putting a few of them in motion.”
Sabrina rubbed his clean-shaven jaw. “I’m so proud of him.”
The moment this dinner was over, I’d have Genn dig into her background.
Faith and Ryah were back to chatting it up with Levi, like they just saw each other yesterday.
“Sabrina, what college did you attend?” I asked, forking the flaky salmon into my mouth.
“Michigan State. I was lucky to return home and get a great job working at Matrix.” She bumped his shoulder and tugged his red tie.
“Next to this man.” He caressed her cheek and kissed her with tongue... in front of us.
I figured he’d put it on thick.
“How romantic,” Faith and Ryah sighed.
I didn’t trust this motherfucker as far as I could throw him. Why did he want to be friends with Ryah? Because she took him under her wing?
The asshole had to have skeletons in his closet. I’d have Genn dig again.
If he didn’t uncover anything, I’d have Levi followed. We were missing something.
