Ryah’s eyes widened, and she visibly swallowed. Good, I was breaking her down. It wasn’t like I didn’t know Ryah had a soft spot for me. She was just very good at controlling her feelings around me. The only way I could exploit those deep emotions was to wine and dine my little princess. Show her she was the only girl who mattered in my life. The second my tongue and lips swept along every inch of her body; she’d beg me to fuck her all night.
“I told you, Ryah, he has it bad for you. That reminds me, I made a doctor’s appointment for Friday morning. I was a teenager once. Boys say there’s no rush, then poof you’re not a virgin anymore.” Melanie narrowed her eyes at me.
Shit, she wasn’t wrong. The chance Ryah would last three months was highly unlikely.
Ryah broke our gaze and peeked at her mother. “Mom, did dad put you up to this?”
“We came to a mutual agreement. Enjoy dinner. I’ll see you at home, baby.”
She stood. “Good night, Rocco.”
“Have a good night, Ms. Soloman.”
I turned my attention to Ryah. She pointed her fork at the mashed potatoes on my plate.
“Go ahead.”
She shoveled a mountain of mashed potatoes into her mouth.
“Bosco and I had a talk yesterday.”
“About?” She slid the knife through the basil chicken on her plate.
“You.”
Ryah slipped a sliver of chicken into my mouth.
“Why?”
I stared at her as I chewed. “You know why.”
“So what, he likes me. Bosco has lots of girls in his life. Just last week so did you.”
“Now I don’t. He can stop flirting with you.”
“Rocco, he’s asked me out in the past. I’ve never gone on a date with him.”
I grabbed her plate and sat it next to mine. “Come here.”
Taking her hand, I stood and led her into the booth.
Sitting beside her, I kissed her neck.
“Ryah, he said, even though we’re in a relationship that won’t stop the way he feels about you.”
“There’s only one guy on my mind.” She tugged my navy tie and her lips fell against mine. I slipped my tongue past her lips and owned every inch of her mouth.
She pushed me back and stared up at me. “One day, I’ll get to sleep in your arms every night.”
My heart slammed against my ribcage. The heavy emotions that stirred in me felt uncontrollable now that we were together. I bit her bottom lip. “You better fucking believe it.”
Ryah just told me in so many words Bosco wasn’t a factor. Good, because I didn’t want to have to kill my friend.
***P***
Chucking a French fry into my mouth, I peered at a cluster of girls huddled together three lunch tables over, pointing and rolling their eyes at me.
Why was it so hard to believe I was in a relationship? Every day this week a different girl went behind my woman’s back, tugging at my belt, begging me to fuck them in the janitor’s closet. I warned them. They didn’t want a piece of Ryah. Shit, if they knew what she did to Emily, they’d never approach me again.
