I placed my phone in his hand. “Press play. She was giving me a virtual tour of her new warehouse space. My dad and I are helping her pay the rent. It’s an investment. She’s very talented. I assure you she doesn’t need a man to take care of her. Claire had no intention of asking for help, but the last time I visited her she was sewing garments in her one-bedroom apartment. There wasn’t anywhere to sit. I couldn’t take it anymore. So I found the space and told her she was moving into a warehouse. Claire was excited.”

A big smile took his face. “Damn, she’s a knockout.”

He pressed the screen a few times. “Here’s your phone back.”

“I sent that video to myself.”

My eyes widened. “What!”

“I’ll look your sister up the next time I have business in New York.”

“Vino, she’ll kill me if she thinks I tried to set her up.”

He shrugged. “Don’t worry about it. I won’t mention you right away.”

Noah shook his head. “Unbelievable. You plan to make a move on my woman’s sister?”

“Hope, my men are the best in the security business. They’re all around this town. If someone tries to harm you, they’ll do damage.”

He ignored Noah.

“I don’t think anyone would want to harm me because of a simple kiss.”

“Hope, you’re dating a billionaire. It only takes one sick fuck to kidnap you and hold you for ransom,” he whispered.

Vino glanced at Noah. “Did you tell her?”

Noah ran a hand gruffly across his chin. “No.”

“Walking around town alone is over. Here or anywhere else. Don’t worry. We’ll keep you safe.”

“Wow, I can’t believe how my life changed overnight.”

Noah kissed my cheek. “I won’t let you out of my sight.”

Butterflies swirled in my stomach. I loved how protective he was over me.

“Vino, join us for dinner tonight.”

He glanced at Noah, then at me. “Another time.” He stood.

“Why did you look at Noah?”

Vino shook his head. “My cousin wants you all to himself. Maybe he’ll bring you to Jersey one weekend. My mother makes the best lasagna.”

“I knew I heard a Jersey accent.” I hopped out of my seat, scurried over, and threw my arms around his neck. He hugged me back.

“I’d love that.”

Stepping back, I glanced at him again. “Please tell me your nothing like your cousin. He planned to kidnap me and take me to Aspen.”

Vino snickered. “It was a pleasure to meet you, Hope. I’ll be around. Oh, and your sister’s no longer dating other guys.”

My mouth fell open. He stepped over and hugged Noah. Vino whispered something in his ear before walking away.

“All the men in your family appear to be overly possessive.”

“Are you ready to talk to the owners?”
