“We have all explored your body… in depth.” Oakes caresses my arm.
“But we’re outside. In a forest.” I blush.
Eldrin kisses my cheek. “You’re so adorable when you are shy, but this isn’t the time to withdraw. We need to see if we can connect again to heal our bond.”
Oakes pulls out a wooden cup and a flask of wine that Merlara gave us from her supplies. “This isn’t the royal challis or an ancient vintage of wine, but it should work for our ceremony.”
He pours the wine. Each of my elves pledge to cherish and honor me until death separates us. I pledge my devotion to them, sealing the vows with a sip of wine and a kiss with each mate.
Then they begin to undress me.
“I’m scared,” I whisper, worried this won’t work—that we will never be connected again.
“We are too,” Oakes says, kissing my temple.
“What if it doesn’t—” Tears form in my eyes.
“We need to all focus on reconnecting our bonds. Not on our worries,” Eldrin says as he slips his shirt off and tosses it on the ground. Sliding off his pants, his member springs forth.
With the visual distraction of his beautiful flesh on display, I forget my worries and remember how our bond feels when we make love. I need that again, desperately.
“You’re right. Come here.” I pull him close. “I missed you so much. I’ve been out of my mind without feeling you in my soul.”
“I’ve been the same.” Eldrin’s hands capture my face and he kisses me, hungrily consuming all the affection I offer and returning it in kind. “I was ready to let death take me if you were no longer in my life.”
Jaden and Oakes murmur their agreement as they slip off the rest of their clothing.
“Stars, I need you.” Jaden strokes along the gentle curve of my side to my full buttocks and squeezes. He then gingerlytouches the mark on my back. My mark has changed, somehow it has gone dormant where it once swirled with magic.
I feel his touch linger and turn to see his concerned expression. “All we can do is try, right?”
“And I will enjoy trying,” Jaden says with an easy voice, helping to alleviate the anxiety in the air.
Even without the bond connection, I know he’s feigning his ease.
Pressing his body to my backside, Jaden slips his hand around to cup my breasts and pinches my nipples to attention.
I moan with approval. Then I reach out to touch Oakes’ broad chest. “Please, I can’t wait to have you inside me again.”
Eldrin lowers me onto their cloaks, placed on the ground like a blanket. He leaves a trail of kisses down my body, awakening my need, then nuzzles into my throbbing core. Between licks, he says, “Goddess, I’ve missed you. I thought I’d never feel you again. It wrecked me.”
I tilt my hips, undulating onto his eager tongue, and beckon Jaden and Oakes to join me on the ground.
Oakes quickly falls beside me. He nips at my earlobe while Jaden pebbles my breast in his mouth. My core heats, and my skin flushes with arousal. Eldrin’s rhythmic lapping is rapidly bringing me to the edge.
“I need you,” I pant. “Now. Please.”
Eldrin moves to enter me, his throbbing cock notched at my opening, and he places his hand over my changeling mark. “I love you, Wyn. My love expands beyond the realms, beyond the stars.”
“I love you, my prince. There are no bounds to my love for you.” I then say a silent prayer to the Goddess and try to imagine our energies intertwining as they once had.
I need to feel our souls linked and emotions shared.
Slowly, Eldrin slips inside me, taking me one inch at a time.
It’s too slow. I want to buck and take him all at once. Perhaps it’s fear. I want to force the bond to happen again.
I open my eyes and gaze into Eldrin’s. That eases my tension, and I rememberwhyI need them. Theyarepart of me. I am part of them—even if the magic bond is broken. Our love for each other already linked us before the mate bond enhanced our senses of each other.
