“No.”

Rok looks at Zeek. “You touched her, too. Where?”

“Yeah, first on the ass, and then when I carried her to the med bay.”

“Roll over,” Rok orders me.

“I’m not a dog!” I snap. Oh, but I suppose he is. I’m sure he’ll be more pissed at me now.

“I need to check you for damage!” Rok barks back.

“Do it,” Serrat orders, and I know he’ll force me if I don’t comply.

I’ve never been into the dominance-submissive gig before, but I feel a heat growing between my legs. I roll over to show them all my back side.

“Not as defined, but there under her legs and her upper torso.” Rok notes, “And a handprint on her… hip.”

“You aremarkingme?”

Rok moves away, and I hear the words he mumbles, “Maybe truer than she knows.”

I glare at him. “What do you mean?”

Serrat ignores my question. “How are you feeling?”

I take inventory of my bodily functions. “Better. But I’m very thirsty. More so now.”

Zeek runs out of the room and comes back with a cup of water.

After I drink a few sips, Serrat asks, “Good?”

I eyeball him. “Proper food, for a human, at some point would be nice.”

Rok snarks, “She thinks this is some hospitality ship?”

“Quiet,” Serrat says calmly and with a more serious tone.

Zeek announces, “I was researching what constitutes as human food or a reference to their nutritional needs before I heard your skirmish. IsupposeI should hurry to finish that task if she’s willing to stuff anything that looks good into her mouth.”

I blush when he looks at me with a raised brow. I know what he is really suggesting.

“Enough.” Serrat nudges Zeek out the door. Apparently, he understood the innuendo too. “Find out what she can eat.”

Now that Zeek has planted the image of stuffing things into Gemma’s mouth, it’s all I can think about. I’m too close to the shift. I need to get some control over myself.

I turn to Rok, “Is she clear to leave the med bay?”

“I should check on her later, but I believe so.”

“You need to return to your room,” I say to her with authority.

She doesn’t budge, but sits there, sulking.
